USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (JEDI)- Revelations

Oh dear, I've said too much...Kathya's here.

"Does this sound like a sick joke to you?" Gallagher says, opening the comlink channel to Andro and streaming the sounds of gunfire. "Akron does not use a gun. I am only thinking of the Abbott's safety."

Andro's comlink isn't open, Gallagher.

"I swear, something foul is happening, here," Gallagher says. "Why does Varm carry a firearm?"

"He doesn't," says Kathya. "He's a Priest. I am calling Mirani- you will answer for this outrage!"

The Abbot is momentarily distracted by a wracking bout of pain during this.

"Lies!" Gallagher says. "I recognized that motion on the stairwell."

"You can call Dr. Mirani, but I'm calling security."

Gallagher will call security and tell them that there is an armed situation in the quarters of the Synod.

Can he keep Kathya under a constant Scan, and be updated in mood changes?

Yes, and she seems pretty happy.

You don't actually know how to call security, Gallagher. And you feel almost nauseous with bad feeling npw.

Happy?!

This is all playing into their plans, whatever they may be! Varm is going to get Andro killed if I do don't something quickly...ahh, I don't know what to do!

"Come, Zaland," Gallagher says, staring down Kathya for a moment before he heads for the Synod's quarters. "We have to help Akron."

"I apologize, Abbott Sienar!"

Ok, what's the plan, folks?

Gallagher wants to head to the Synod quarters with Zaland, who Gallagher orders to draw his gun and be prepared for anything.

Then, we move in on Varm's room.

"Set your blaster for stun."

Ok- in the time it takes you to get to the stairs, you can co-ordinate a brief plan with Andro.

Andro, keep Varm occupied at the window so that when we enter, he will be caught unawares. Then, when Zaland begins taking stunner shots at him, he will be preocuppied by the new threat, and you can come in and get a hold on him. Don't try to disarm him, though; we don't want you holding the gun.

I don't want to kill Varm. It would be terrible if we killed him, whether it solved the problem or not.

How does 'setting for stun' work, rules wise?

You need a gun with a stun setting.

Does Zaland's blaster have such a setting? It would conform to Gallagher's dislike of straight-forward killing...

(Something is so very wrong here, Gallagher. I think this has something to do with your vision. Perhaps the Abbot is about to die. Why is Kathya happy? Is it because you're not getting through to the Abbot? Or is it the situation with Varm? Either he's about to get busted with Deel's body, or he'll win/get away and we're going to look like fools, maybe even criminals. Well, we've made our bed...

As far as a plan: Right now, I'm on a ledge outside the rooms, heading in the direction of the stairs. Varm is in his room, about to get to his window and shoot me off the ledge. Why don't I duck into a room, drawing Varm back into the hallway. Maybe you can surprise him while his attention is focused on the doorway to the room I'm in. It might give him a decent shot at you guys though, so it's not without risk. If you can distract him enough for me to charge him, we might come out on top. Hopefully, even if we just split his attention, it'll be enough. All my other ideas involve the use of Force powers, and Varm would know what we are then. It's be his word against our, of course, but our word isn't great right now, and he's a Priest.)

Hell, why am I sending Gallagher into this? He'll be worthless, he has a combat skill of 8 and will have a dodge of 10. He will send Zaland ahead of him and stay out of the fight.

(Actually, that sounds pretty good. Maybe you can get somewhere with the Abbot. Between Zaland and I, we should be able to do something about Varm. I wouldn't think he could cover the stairs and the door at the same time. Oh, and screw stun. Try to wing him or just keep him occupied.)

Andro stops at the next window along the ledge. He uses his elbow to bust it out, then waits. As soon as Varm pokes his head out he'll just dive through into the room. If Varm doesn't poke his head out, Andro figures that'll just buy him a little more time to think.)

Yeah, Gallagher will go find the Abbott and Kathya again. He wants some answers, though he has a horrible feeling about Kathya. He wants to suss that too.

Ok, Gallagher seems to be running around in panicked circles right now. And no, Zaland has no stun setting. He moves on ahead.

You break the window, Andro. Nothing happens for a few moments...

Then I will have to rely on Zaland keeping Varm occupied long enough for Andro to move in and grapple him.

That's a really poor idea whilst unarmed, you know.
