Yup, that's right. If they went around showing people their resources and contacts just because people asked, it would be ludicrous! Any law enforcement or rival outfit could ask to see things, and then know exactly where to target.
The money is a guarantee that you have a stake in it too, so if it all falls apart, it is not just them who have lost something. It's the kind of hazy way criminal activities tend to work (the other way being a Godfather/Sopranos style net of family and friend connections, but that is more the stuff of the Hutts or the Serpent).
Of course, it doesn't HAVE to be money (and for much of the Cold War- and to my knowledge of it, it often still is- in Eastern Europe the whole thing ran on alcohol), so long as you are seen to have got a stake invested.
Originally posted by Captain REXOk I only said your ship because it is the one we least need now but tanic's can go as well. But mine is the biggest so it can be used to carry the generator by itself.
Touch my ship and you'll be in your engine room with that body! Galder's already lost one ship to stupid ideas...Take Tanic's. 😛
Well, I'm not against using my ship, just as long as it doesn't get compounded or destroyed or raided by the Bureau or eaten or smashed or ripped apart or blasted or...
The list goes on.
A few years ago, my old ship, the Raging Reek, was confiscated by the Jedi on Tartarus, because I forgot to send it into orbit.
actually..why don't we keep a guy inside the ship at all times, hidden inside. there must be a concealed compartiment somewhere...it's a dark jedi ship after all 🙂
after they take it to..where-ever, we can steal the generator and then com-link the guy inside to take off with the ship...ofcourse..there's a little danger involved but..hey...that's life
