Please Battlethimble don't put words in my mouth... I didn't say that he knows "TONS" of different styles.
He is although a master of at the very least these specific types of fighting styles that I'm aware of... Roman greco wrestling, Jujitsu, Judo, U.S. Special forces H2H combat. And after that I'm unsure.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, if someone one was to continually practice those or anything else for that matter on a regular basis they would continually get better at it until they hit the top of that said practice per that beings physical limitations or athletic capabilities.
And with Ben Grimm pre-THING being an athlete of potentially a NFL player (that whole cosmic rays thing kind of side tracked him from pursuing it any further FTR) His ceiling for these arts and or skills is truly quite high.
And If you truly think that Wolverine is smarter than Ben then your Battlethimbleness is clearly clouding you and your brain synopsises aren't working properly (which was always kinda the thought anyway i guess 😄 )
You forget or just choose to ignore that not only is Ben potentially the best pilot on the planet of either conventional or alien crafts, he is also a trained astronaut too. And as far as I know you can't exactly be dim witted to be able to do either of those things. Logan's out of his league compared to Ben with the smarts. Just because Ben talks in a East coast (Tony Soprano) like manner and that his hide is made out of organic rocks doesn't mean he's as dumb as one or the other.
And here is info about his continued mutations which again I might add is common knowledge amongst most comic geeks.
From the Marveldatabase site.
Thing (Ben Grimm) - 100 tons (Increased from 5 tons to 85 tons and then up to 100 tons over the years as a result of a combination of further mutation and intense weight training)
