True but the difference if far greater than that.

Namor's arm doesn't weigh than say Quicksilver's and it's moving at sub sonic speeds while QS can hit at like Mach4.

Momentum isn't just about weight, it's more about force.

Shouldn't a hit from any competent speedster hit a lot harder than a hit from a class 100? (even barring an IMP)

When Zoom hit Wonder Woman, she commented that his punch at lightspeed +, hurt MORE than a punch from Superman..

Speedster punches >> Brawler punches.

Are the fins on the back of Aquaman's legs part of his pants or actually fins?

They're actually fins.

Makes more sense than wings I suppose.

In the real world yes, but in the comic book universe its doesn't really work like that as the Speedsters don't really have the durability to survive the forces they are unleashing. I think it was Grant Morison who introduced this paradox with the IMP, in his first JLA arc. And it is a Paradox. 🙂

I don't know what Rucka was thinking because it really contradicts Zooms powers. For Zoom to be 'packing' the mass associated with special relativity and high velocities, he'd have to be actually travelling fast. But we know that he doesn't actually travel any faster than anyone else, he just slows down and speeds up time around him and others. 🙂

But to anyone else, Zoom is really moving at those speeds.

Which makes perfect sense as to how his punches did so much damage.

I mean, he was punching Wonder Woman from Paris to the Great Wall of China..... With one punch.

To Zoom, he was punching at average human speeds..... But to Wonder Woman, he was punching at lightspeed +, with all the force associated at those speeds.

I'm sorry mate That makes absolutely no sense at all. 🙁

he needs to be travelling at those speeds before he can get the mass needed to do the IMP. Time distortion is a manipulation of the fourth Dimension, which has nothing to do with mass. I'm sorry but thats how it is. 🙂

It wasn't an IMP neccisarily. Its just the relavtive to her his fist was moving so fast that it struck with tremendous force.

All I'm telling you, is how he did it.

To everyone else, Zoom WAS moving at those speeds, which is how he did what he did...

Again, real-world logic often times does not apply in comics if it conflicts with the story at hand. doped

Observation does not make it so, you can fast forward a video, but it doesn't measn the people in the video are moving as fast as its looks. 🙂

Another way to look at it is that his perception of time is distorted he sees the events taking place at a normal rate even though they do not.

srug Anyway its a comic so power explanations require suspension of disbelief.

It doesn't matter what logic you try and use here my friend.

Wonder Woman herself said that Zoom's punch hurt more then a punch from Superman.

I'm sorry if it upsets you, but that's how it is.. 😬

I feel that in VS terms Zoom has his own 'time field ' around him . Thus he can speed it up , slow it down. Think Viewtiful Joe. Thus while he may be moving at normal human speeds from HIS POV , he is infact going several thousand miles per hour by making time faster just around him.

No its what everyone in this forum refers to as 'bad writing'. He's been given a power he shouldn't have, bad research by Rucka IMO.

This new ability Rucka has developed contradicts his original powers provided by Geoff Johns. Youre not the only one to have read Blitzz.

Thats the problem with flash , his writers are like Spidermans , Pseudoscience to the core....

Except Flash's powers are even more pseudo science. I mean making a costume out of speed wtf?

Viewtiful Joe doesn't work like that. He speeds time up around his body so that it appears he is moving faster to the observer but HE is actually moving at the same speed as he was before.
