Doc Ock has a gun that turns him into glass but when Torch fights him he just burns parts off ... so it's not just a case of heat it would seem.

When rogue absorbed Ms Marvels memories, How did she still exist as Binary even though her mind and personality were still in Rogues body?

Initially after Rogue absorbed her powers she was a vegetable but eventually regained consciousness and her powers. I don't think a specific reason was given as to how she woke up and regained her memories and powers though. She just did I guess.

She actually never regained all of her memorie, at first she didn't know who she was ... these days she still has memory gaps.

If it helps his Codename is Gentle and he was one of the students excused from Emma's New X-Men brawl. The other two were Wallflower who was injured, Blindfold who has no offensive power and Nehzno for some unknown reason.(He could be a pacifist judging from his codename.)
