Do you have an issue for Proteus, because i can't recall that incident.

Just had a look at it, he was bending all of reality...not just the adamantium.
I know Magneto can liquify it and Antarctic Vibranium can as well but I can't think of an instance where it's been transmuted to a completely different element.

So, adamantium vs. transmutation? How's it do? Can anyone, [sub-Molecule Man], affect it by these methods?

I believe both the Silver Surfer and Cosmic Spidey have created adamantium via transmutation.

Dunno about dematerializing it.

Ultron used to have a device inside him for remolding adamantium at a molecular level.

Has Venom actually ever eaten somebodies brain? Or was all that just big talk?

Oh yeah, I remember the adamantium webs. When was the surfer one?

^Venom devoured brains during the Hunger arc.

Has anyone broken out of WW's lasso before?

Define 'broken out.'

There have been some to get out of it once it was around them.

None (in continuity) have broken the lasso itself, though.

Getting out of a captive position once WW locks the lasso in. Also, what is the lowest level character to do so?

Deathstroke, I believe.

When is new comic book day at comic shops for everyone else? For mine it's Wednesdays. Or at least the respectable store. We have two...the second is occasionally better for back issues and obscure stuff, but is sometimes weeks behind the current release schedule.

Is there a thread for Batman RIP?

SuperLearning

Okay. This could be asked about a number of uber types, but I'll use Superman as the archetypal example.

We know he can learn superfast. Why isn't he an expert martial artist? How come he didn't sit down with Batman one day and say, "Bruce, I wanna learn kung fu"; Bruce shows him everything he knows, once; and Ka-BAM: Superman is now a super martial artist.

Or is this the one thing Superman Can't learn faster than an ordinary mortal?

Who says he isn't an expert martial artist. I saw a scan of him WTFPWNing Zod with skills he learned from Wonder Woman and Batman. Real question is how does Henshaw lose to this man in the h2h.

Then I guess a better question might be: why doesn't he use his martial arts skills on a regular basis (like, eg, against WW or Captain Marvel or Doomsday)? Even against superduper types, he's still pretty much a brawler.

The same reason why Batman wouldn't be such a good martial artist if he were as physically powerful as Superman. A huge part of martial arts is the speed/power trade-off, in that blows that are thrown for speed are typically lower in power. All that becomes irrelevant once you have Superman's speed and power. Another important reason in my opinion is that I am not sure the traditional martial arts theories of technique -> speed/power apply for a being with those physical attributes. There are many other reasons, of course. And the fact that martial arts is typically the schitck of lower level physical characters.

Another "genius" post by Janus made me wonder.

Does the speed force shield Flash from being transmuted?
