The story takes part before Civil War, and is part of the reason Stark is so gung-ho on registration.
Oh, cool Thanks, in which comic?
Damn there is too much at the moment to collect.
Y'know, this is an assumption that just seemed so "natural," I never thought to question it, but here goes:
Flash is said to be able to vibrate so fast that he can pass through solid matter.

What does "vibrating fast" have to do with passing through solid matter? The same electromagnetic bonds still hold. How exactly does superspeed make one effectively intangible (comicologically speaking, of course)?

Bonds shmonds... vibrating is the cure all for the universe... with enough vibrations you can pass through anything... even the layers between universes .... at least in DC... in Marvel it's total BS

Next question...
When Sue projects her forcefields, does this projection follow a classical/Newtonian path or a quantum-tunneling path? Based on what is depicted in-panel (eg, seeing a beam shooting out of her head), it appears classical. This means (among other things) that any barrier stronger than her energy should be able to stop her projection, ie, she should not be able to materialize a force bubble inside anything sufficiently barricaded.
However, often, she seems able to materialize a force projection "right there," w/o the energy crossing any intervening space. If this is the case, then no Newtonian countering field anywhere could stop her.
