Space is 3 degrees above absolute zero, it's the leftover heat from the Big Bang.
Also being an Omega level mutant and all that, doesn't it mean that Iceman at full potential would be an universal level energy manipulator that's supposedly could replace the abstracts?

That was using some type of energy matter manipulation and has nothing to do with plain physical freezing (something Superman is immune to). Funny thing though is that Superman has resisted matter manipulation before. I would like to see what you are talking about though.

Space is roughly 4 K. Just above absolute zero. And if parts of it were absolute zero, you wouldn't know about it.
Cosmic King turning Superman's blood into K-nite occurs in a Superman/Batman issue. I have the scan of it, but not the issue # off hand.

superman's field is only partially responsible for protecting him. his body is actually incredibly durable on its own.
superman is also almost immune to different temperatures. he's very resilient. i seriously doubt bobby is going to be able to freeze superman. and even if he somehow stopped him by trapping him within ice, a blast of hv can take care of that...

True. It's amazing people think that his bio aura is what gives him all his durability.
His blood vessels have been described as being like concrete.

Well, in X-Men Forever, Bobby was able to reform his body at will. Superman can hit him all he wants and it really won't do a damn. Bobby would also be able to freeze any part of Superman's organs and shatter them, most likely. Even AOA Iceman was a beast. Not to sure if that version can take down Superman, but Bobby is an Omega class mutant and probably would kill Superman if he wanted to.

Well, he could keep "generating" that temperature. At the least there would be fluctuations between absolute and non-absolute zero.
Anyway, even if it was a few degrees above absolute zero, Superman might not be able to move anyway.
