The closest that Iceman has come to escaping a black hole *and admittedly it does not compare, but its the only one I can think of* would be when a Celestial ship compressed itself so much that it became less than a dot and teleported away. He was inside said ship and transferred himself out exactly when it teleported.

But the thread specifies 'full potential' bobby. Bobby's never BEEN full potential on panel, so we HAVE to go into illegitimate conjecture.
I'm not going through fourty one pages to see if they were ever re-worded, but the original post makes no mention of Iceman post-snowball throwing.
He ONLY mentions 'full potential.'
Meaning, this Iceman is capable of surviving across the omniverse and can affect the temperature anywhere, anytime, in anyway he pleases.
well, this is truly a battle between the two foremost characters that marvel/dc over the years added more powers than a logical person cares to read about. i lost all respect for iceman in the mid-nineties when marvel started to expand heavily on the whole "ice" thing. just like putting "super" before"man" allows the writers to add whatever power comes out of relation to that word.
iceman turning into water is a joke and a half to me because i thought iceman had the power to lower the temperature of himself now apparently he can heighten it to become water?? the fu(k! and he is now immortal to boot = ghey.
marvel should stay away from that sort of stuff cause that only leads to "crises" like dc has to do to clean the slate of writer ineptitude.
