Who Should Play The Joker?

Started by BOPRecruit 1620 pages

since the classic version of joker wouldn't quite cut it in the sequel, maybe nolan should use the batman tas version of him. the revamped series from the late 90's. no red lips and yellow eyes. instead, darker eyes and very dark green-black hair. looks more black then green. also, maybe nolan can aim to make joker look a bit pale, pasty white. almost like a man who hasn't been in the sun very often.

That Joker looks like crap.

Its all good and well to argue about what he will look like, but we must remember what really counts is if the actor could ACT the joker's part. Nicholson didnt really looked like the classical joker but acted the role superbly.

Most people won't agree with me, but here me out.
Ryan Reynolds.
You would remember him as Van Wilder or Berg from the show Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza place

He's in great shape, his lines are delivered to perfection and I think he could bring something amazing to the character.

I'd rather see him as Flash, which is what his current project is.

He's always reminded me of Jason Lee, who I think might be a good Joker.

You're right, I definitely disagree. He has never played a crazy mad man (Amityville Horror doesn't count, he was nothing like Joker). Anyway, I watched Willard today and I would have to say that he may be a good Joker as many have said.

Ryan Reynolds is an interesting thought and perhaps given the opportunity he could do something with the role, but its too late for that since he will already be playing another character from the DC universe with 'The Flash'. Also, like I said before Crispin Glover is still my first choice unless of course some other actor whom we haven't thought of yet comes along which is doubtful although we still have time for it to happen.

Does anyone have Crispin's filmography?

but at least it looks better than the original early 90's batman tas joker. with the red lips and eyes. i know the eyes look odd in that pic. couldn't find a better one from the revamped series.

😠 😠 THERE WON'T BE ANOTHER ONE 😠 😠

darn no Ryan Reynolds.

I say Edward Norton, that guys incredible.

Im going with Crispin Glover, Adrian Brody, or an unknown. Im sure theyll pick the right actor.

For once, someone sees it exactly the same way I do.

You might want to stop acting angry about the Joker thing because you are coming across as very ignorant. As you were told in another thread, this is not a prequel series. They just started Batman over. The only thing I know that is the same is that it is still owned by WB.

Precisely, its a shame some people still believe BB to be a prequel of some sort.

Its literally impossible, theyve totally change his origin and how his parents died, where the joker came from.. everything !

I'm not so sure about this. Steve Carell is funny as hell but I want a scarier Joker and I don't think he can pull that part off. Plus he has a bad build for Joker.

i don't know.....steve carell?.... who the hell pitched that name at a boardmeeting

dumbass#1-"who do you guys think should play the joker?"
dumbass#2-"mmm....how about steve carell?"
dumbass#3-"yea!!...brick is sooo fricken hillarous!!"
dumbass#1-"setup an audition, you guys might be on to something"...

like you said, he is hillarous, and i dont really think build matters that much, but uhhhh no....don't think he has what it takes to pull off the joker, although all comics do have darksides....i highly doubt he can portray his well enough to nail the joker, plus you obviously need more than a darkside to play that charactor.... but if for some reason he wins the part, the son of a b*tch better pull it off

I think Crispin Glover would be really good at playing the Joker but I also think Christopher Eccleston would be quite good aswell. He's a brilliant actor and he has a wicked smile. Problem is, he's not into movies that much.
