but he didn't accept because they offered Jack Nicholson the role for The Joker back in the 1989 film. He delayed the film thinking about it so Warner Brothers offered Robin Williams the role and he said he'd accepted. Then they went and told Jack Nicholson that the role is being considered by Robin Williams so he said he'd do it. Robin Williams refused to be The Riddler in Batman Forever unless Warner Brothers gave him an apology for that but the ****ing suits never did and we got a fakeout Ace Ventura/a poor man's Joker. Two Face.
Everyone says Mark Hamill couldn't pull it off due to age n looks.. well, maybe.. I don't know.. but I.. personally... would love to see him take a shot at it.
Here's what Kevin Conroy (voice of Batman-BTAS) said about him, in an interview.. it made me stop, and think.. could he pull it off?

MR: Who's your favourite villain or villainess that you've worked with?
KC: Well, I have to say Mark, hands down. He's just such a good actor. To watch him perform . . . I wish more people could see him actually perform, because all of us sit down. It's a long booking. All of us get tired. Mark never sits down. He can't contain himself. He's so into doing the Joker that his veins start to bulge out of his neck. He starts sweating. He has to loosen his shirt. He starts turning red. You see the sweat coming through his shirt . . . I mean, he just becomes the Joker. When he starts laughing hysterically, people - there are visitors in the recording booth, sometimes - invariably, you look in there and see them like this (shocked) watching this guy, because it's shocking to see what happens to his face when he does Joker. He just goes somewhere else, mentally, and he can do it over and over again, for hours. And that's a real talent. I love working with him. There have been many wonderful voices on this show.

I'd love to watch him voice act... I really would. Who else would I like to see take on Joker? Uuuuh.. I don't know.. really.. hehehe.
Take a look at this image of 'Mark Hamill'.. Hehe... Anyone wanna edit it?
Jack Nicholson was pushing fifty when he did BATMAN and nobody was bitching about it. Mark Hamill is like fifty five or something so it is only five years off. If anyone deserves to be THE JOKER it is Mark Hamill. When I was little he was the first Joker I saw until my father bought us BATMAN and BATMAN RETURNS on video after we saw BATMAN RETURNS shortly after it hit the theater. I never always saw Mark Hamill as THE JOKER.
I tell you what...I don't think Hamill looks it, but he did such a fantastic job on the show, that I think the very least they should do, would be to give him a screen test, and put it on the dvd. I would be happy with him doing it, they could make him look the part, I bet. He's already got the intensity and the voice down like *THAT*

Agreed. With that laugh, and insanity, I don't see how he couldn't look like him...honestly.. hehehe. All he'd have to do is shape up a lil, and go under heavy makeup.. I think.
Everyone says.. 'you should see what happens to his face when he does The Joker' Aaah, it'll probably never happen, but i'd so love to hear that laugh on the big screen!!! Yup yup.. *sigh*
I wouldn't mind Tim Roth taking up the role either.. I think he'd do well.
I believe Christopher Nolan is aboard for the next film, and has a liking for actors from the British Isles for as much of the casting as possible.
Jude Law? ( Look at him from A.I. as Gigalo Joe)
I think he's in the mood to stick a knife into his female fanbase who want to worship him forever. Joker time!
Take a look at this..

A clip from a show called 'Birds of Prey'... It's nothing special.. but I LOVE this scene, because 'The Joker' is voiced by Mark Hamill! Things like this convince me he could pull it off.. The Joker is blurred and played by some other actor.. but still... listen to that!!!! That IS the Joker!
