Is KOTOR better than ROTS?

That's a pretty silly statement.

Fact is, there is little of objective quality about the KOTOR plot at all except for its twist which was only really a surprise to people with little experience of plots.

Sorry, absolutely none of KOTOR was a surprise to me. More cliched obviousness. But it was also pretending to be big and clever, which it was not. The twist was also... mundane.

ROTS was exactly what it said it was, and bravo to it.

There are many things to like about KOTOR. I don't even DISlike the plot. It was much better than many computer game plots. But I have never ever seen it as this super-genius thing that people seem to mysteriously say it is. Frankly, not wanting to sound pig-headed, but I've done SW games with much better plots. There's just nothing really fantastic to KOTOR. In fact, Baldur's Gate (from the same studio) had a better plot, as did Planescape: Torment.

Oh yes,I found that plot twist in ESB , how did you put it, "mundane" as well.

You can restrict them to their plots and compare them, easily. Strip out the gaming of KOTOR and the special effects and acting of ROTS and all you have is a storyline. And I simply do not understand why KOTOR's rather typical plot ssores over ROTS's culmination of twenty five year's work.

You are right KOTOR isn't that great Plot wise

But KOTOR is a much better game than ROTS is a film

Were not arguing the game, were arguing the movie. Let this forum die. Like it almost did and was, drifting on page six in the E3 forum. I resurrected looking for Vader 476 to finish an argument. We made peace, this forum has served its purpose.

Star Wars is not just limited to the movies, and anyone that thanks it is, is nothing more than a fool.
