Then logic is defunct and the Comic VS board should be closed down as their is obviously no reason to continue

The characters in comics do not live in real world logic but (excluding cosmics/mystics) most live in a variant of real world logic determined by their character profile. If no logic applies then we get stupid incidents occuring like Wolverine surviving a nuke or Spidey beating Firelord.
exactly.....wierd though...i've been wandering to some of the other threads....in other character threads feats are used all the freakin time as evidence and that's okay...but show not one or two but three instances where spidey wasn't considered god, even by spidey's own writers, and they go nuts calling out pis and hoping real world logic will somehow give them the advantage...well I guess that kind o works...you know...when wolverine has to bend to the rules of realism...but spiderman's immune...

Yup, Those are conclusions I've been stating all along.
"Wolverine weakened is okay to use, but spiderman has to be at his best, even ridiculous levels" and of course "If spiderman is portrayed as less than a god then it's pis/cis."

what takes more precedence? a character profile that was written by someone who probably knows less about a character than said character's own fans....or the actual life experiences the character has had that allow them to be who they've become?
but since profiles are so important...
according to shield stats...
wolverine powerlevel----9
spiderman powerlevel----8

I have to rephrase real world physics does not apply, logic is logic real world or comic and it should still apply. Something that is completely illogical happening just equals bad writing.
I actually meant the character profile in terms of a what the character's core abilities are, not actual written profiles. Wolverine's would be a (badly defined) healing factor, heightened senses and elevated to at most very low end superhuman physical attributes.
I agree, there's such a strong backlash against perceived "fanboyism," on the part of Wolverine (although frankly I've only seen three posters on this forum who fit that description), that it seems he's not allowed to have a clear-cut advantage over ANY other character these days. (See the lamentable "Wolverine vs Daredevil," thread to see what I mean.)
I've seen threads such as, "Wolverine vs Storm," in which the thread starter just starts right in with, "Storm could fry his skin off with teh leightening lolz," and such.
Shameful.

I should have started arguing "Spiderman has enough strength to take out class 100+ guys like Firelord or Superman" in that case.So when this defense is used we might get him at normal levels instead of being turned into a slightly acrobatic nobody that cant take out a normal human who heals fast who eventually turns into a guy that takes 100+strength level hits and moves faster than quicksilver
And another thing.... right now, it seems like half the threads in this forum are about Wolverine! Just today, there were four Wolverine threads (Wolverine vs Nightcrawler, Wolverine vs Spider-Man, Wolverine Wins!, Wolverine Versus) active at the same time.
It seems people can't get enough of "disproving," Wolverine's supposed "invincibility." ¬¬
if something happens consistantly then why would it be considered bad writing....consider if jubilee went all out and beat a herald.....the first time....yeah PIS obviously...the second....PIS and CIS maybe....the third time though?....how many times does one have to prove he/she can do something before it's established that they indeed can? (i'e' wolverine taking WAAAAAAAYYYY more physical abuse than what spiderman has the ability to provide, ability to heal from being gutted completely within a minute....taking hulk punches and remaininconsious much less spidey ones....(speaking of which) beating spiderman 3 times...
it's like telling me I can't do a one handed push-up....I do it......did I get lucky? .........maybe...
I do it again.....lucky again?........maybe....but not likely...
I do it again.....obviously it's withing my capabilities to do....(i.e. logans superhuman speed, agility, strength, and durability.....and JUMPING HA)

Would a better argument be. Storm can fly out of Wolverine's reach. Subsequently she could use lightning bolts to overload his healing factor.

Could be worse could be Batman.I have to admit even though this topic irks me a bit about at least Wolverine has an EXCUSE for taking hits from Spiderman at full force and living[mostly the healing factor]

spiderman had circumstantial help in taking out both...unless you think supes is immune to kryptonite...or that spiderman has more concussive force in his fists than the hundreds of tons of a ollapsing building...or an explosion large enough to level a city block...

yeah it does get rather annoying...i mean you don't like the character that's fine...but to encourage threads in order to try and discredit wolverine supporters as mere fanboys....well that's just overly harsh...
