He should be so much stronger with the Odinforce.
Dark Reign has put all Avengers in a pretty bad shape.
Especially with the hammer being damaged and Strange having to bond Thor to it.
This past year alone has shown Thor not being able to understand himself and his power. Once he does and exposes Loki He'll be able to take on Sentry......Just ranting...let writers beat him around for now.
but that scan of Hulk humiliating Thor (with Thor's own hammer) is from a few years back.
Sentry is utilising more of his abilities now, it seems to me. he went all out on Hulk (something he is afraid to do on anyone else, lest he kill them), which probably helped him to relax some of his mental-restraints in fights since then.
Thor's more of a character than Sentry, like Hercules you get into the character and the myth, he's not the strongest nor the most powerful, he's just one of the more intriguing and noble characters. it's because Thor's so overwhelmingly popular here, that people feel gutted when he's up against powerful character.

Thor has been written and show time and time again to be one of the must powerful hero's in Marvel. He has more victories over other top tier hero's then any other character and when he was created he was made too be the strongest earth hero by San Lee.
As far as Sentry goes he has finally having some great showings of his powerset but it has only been while the void is in control and anyways we will find out how it gets played out very soon.

Given their respective powersets, Thor should beat Hulk more often than not and, on panel, has beaten Hulk.
And no, Hulk beating Thor in of itself isn't PIS (perhaps CIS as far as Thor is concerned), but Hulk bashing in Thor's face with his own hammer is stupid as hell. Seems pretty simple to grasp to me.
