Surfer was very weak after crashing into Galactus's barrier at full force. Without the power cosmic, he's just as durable as a human. It's understandable.

Surfer wouldn't be capable of reversing the Korvac's effect on the planet. Surfer doesn't use physical strength either. It's clearly a blast that breaks Surfer out of the planet.
At another time, Surfer was responsible, at least in part, for the detonation of another planet when he fought Morg.

How do you know that it wasnt multiple blasts that freed him? He was trapped inside and could have chipped away at the rock until finally blasting his way out.
You dont know if he didit that with one blast only. Shouldnt assume.

He obviously isn't chipping away at the planet. It shows one huge burst of energy, and the planet explodes.

Yes, Joker does. Supes was still going to shut down his mental processes...MM beat him to it though.
Here is another example of Supes absorbing energy. A satellite about the size off korvacs "planet" exploding violently..and supes not only absorbing it, but powering up from it as usual. He even selectively left the light energy alone. According to Lex..it lit up like a sun.

Surfer can mind control the entire Earth. Can Superman do anything of that level?
You can't really tell how big the planet is from the scan. Obviously, it's planet sized, since the narration says it's a planet.
Surfer could have absorbed all of that, and the light. 😉
