(i just read this thread until i reached page 6, so i beg forgivness if i should repeat something already written after that page)
That whole debate about whether one can reach Omega-level or is born with it is done the wrong way here!
Omega-level is about GENETIC POTENTIAL not actually shown power,so you HAVE to be born with it. You can not REACH a genetic potential, you can only reach a certain level of expression of that potential!!!
Iceman always had the potential for a secondary mutation,it is encoded in his genes ergo it is totally meaningless to debate about whether he is an Omega from the beginning(which he is) or reached it with his s.m.(which, according to logic, is bulls***).
I would say the Whiteeyed Orphan and Polaris are the most powerful alive, though Rachel might have the potential ( 😉 ) to be more powerful.
By the way,Stormfront, you might be right with the Kenian Goddes being an omega.
In X-men 98 ("Ages of Apocalypse:First an Last,Part 2", march 2000, page7) Beast congratulates the Weatherwitch to her ascension to an elemental being. I'm well aware that this was just an alternative future BUT even in an alternative future characters can only reach powerlevels naturally that they have the potential for in the ongoing timeline. No real proof, i know, but at least circumstantial evidence.
