(i just read this thread until i reached page 6, so i beg forgivness if i should repeat something already written after that page)

That whole debate about whether one can reach Omega-level or is born with it is done the wrong way here!
Omega-level is about GENETIC POTENTIAL not actually shown power,so you HAVE to be born with it. You can not REACH a genetic potential, you can only reach a certain level of expression of that potential!!!
Iceman always had the potential for a secondary mutation,it is encoded in his genes ergo it is totally meaningless to debate about whether he is an Omega from the beginning(which he is) or reached it with his s.m.(which, according to logic, is bulls***).

I would say the Whiteeyed Orphan and Polaris are the most powerful alive, though Rachel might have the potential ( 😉 ) to be more powerful.

By the way,Stormfront, you might be right with the Kenian Goddes being an omega.
In X-men 98 ("Ages of Apocalypse:First an Last,Part 2", march 2000, page7) Beast congratulates the Weatherwitch to her ascension to an elemental being. I'm well aware that this was just an alternative future BUT even in an alternative future characters can only reach powerlevels naturally that they have the potential for in the ongoing timeline. No real proof, i know, but at least circumstantial evidence.

🙂

well also in the 616 universe, when she went insane she was turning into energy

True. Wannabes right. Its all about potential. If you take a look in the "What is an alpha mutant thread" ive explained to the best of my knowledge what exactly alpha and omega mutants are

STORM RULES!!!!!!!!!!

Rogue rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^I don't believe Storm is omega until I actually see some proof of Prof. X confirming it.

Emma or Polaris...

Are we forgetting Psylocke? She would be immune to Emma's telepathic attacks, and she would be able to act first against Polaris or Storm, rendering them both either unconscious or dead after a telekinetic attack.

Shadowcat?????????????????????????????????????????????????

ooh, i like tht rogue pic, especially cuz theres a phoenix raptor

storm becoming an elemental being MAY be part of an alternate future, though apocalypse's true acts and motivations during the twelve arc are not clear. there's no proof that it's not just an illusion. also, on top of that, alternate futures are NOT bound to a singular past, considering the myriad diversion points at which they could be considered "alternate." even if it is an alternate future, it doesn't mean it holds ground in the here and now, as is also the case with DoFP, bishop's future, and gambit being the third summers brother. still no evidence of storm being omega.

also, chuy, that's a clip from an issue of "what if..?" where the phoenix force possesses storm instead of jean. considering the timing of that issue, in relation to the believed nature of the phoenix force, there's no real boost to storm right there. that's just the phoenix's newly-created faux-storm body doing stuff and spouting off at the mouth.

i'd give the "most powerful" label to polaris, though most of the ladies could contend with her. the very nature of her powers just seems to outrank others, particularly with her mental instability. this is all pre-Decimation, of course...

power... storm imo...

strength... mentally... emma... phsycially... i dunno...

Physically... Rogue?

Emma as the strongest X-woman? Why is she so powerful?
How could Cyclops beat Storm? I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense to me. That's just bad writing IMO

and she goes down...

That kinda looks like it happened a long time ago... I mean, the characters change over time right?

Omega level Jean is on top followed by storm or polaris.

Just because she's more powerful doesnt make her a better combatant... there is a reason he's the leader ya know... 😛

Of course, they've all changed at some point...

Most powerful X-woman in terms of energy generation was Storm, now its probably Rachel Grey.

i like Betsy

Welcome back pr! I think so, unless I'm behind.

it's so Rogue!!
she can absorb everyone's powers...and use them later as well...
instead of just being able to use the powers for a little while, she can now use them whenever she wants, maybe not at full potential as the mutants she borrowed her powers from, but still.
she's superstrong, one (wo-)man army.
But hey I might be way behind from the rest of the world...
