The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Well, I've just beaten the game. Clocked in at about 40 hours, with mild sidequesting. Have 15 hearts and a couple pieces, 23

Spoiler:
Golden Bugs
, and 35
Spoiler:
Poe Souls
.

Of course, I've beaten all but one of the official Zeldas, most of them multiple times, so I have a ton of experience with the Zelda formula for hiding things, which might explain how comparatively fast I got through.

Now I'll start a new file for absorbing the story again, and try to complete all the sidequests and stuff in my farthest save.

I'm guessing you skipped all the side quests and pieces of heart? The game is suppose to be 70 hours.
Wouldn't surprise me if he did, the zelda games are like 50 % side quests and such and 50 % temples, bosses and puzzles.

So ignoring the side quests and such is like running through Elder scrolls 4: Oblivion only doing the missions that pushes the story forward and that's just sick.

i rushed through oblivion. there was nothing new and challenging about the side quests. just the same shit over and over.

Well, I've never played any of the previous Elder scrolls, so naturally I loved everything about Oblivion.

god, i dunno.

I've played all the way through every zelda game except TP and phantom hourglass but i've heard enough about the plot of TP to think it actually is about 100 years after Ocarina and before wind waker. Hell, the whole thing with the twilight gods pretty much sums up the intro to Minish Cap. so the order is Minish Cap, Four Swords, Ocarina, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, LOZ, AOL, Oracles, Four Swords Adventures, and ALTTP.
I figured TP could have been between FSA and ALTTP because both of those feature and evil tribe, ganon being imprisoned, and an emphasis on magic mirrors.

so, is it better than ocarina?

I'll tell you when I beat it. It's the longest Zelda game ever with 40 hours of gameplay (and that's not including side quest)

thats what everybodys saying, hurry up and beat it already. 😛

From what I have played so far, I can tell you that it is giving OoT competition as best Zelda game.

enhanced definition as opposed to high definition= ED

480=resolution

i may have been unclear. without component cables it will seem blurry. once you get them, it should be fine if you find 480 resolution to be acceptable.

ooo ok thanks for the info 🙂

i beat it 😊

What was your final time, PVS? I've been getting more heart pieces, poes, rupees, and getting addicted to the roalgoal minigame at the fishing spot..

Oh, and I think you can't say you've actually beaten the game until you've beaten the Cave of Ordeals *assumes fetal position*

50 hours total

i got 23 poes, 14 heart containers, 3 bottles, 600 money bag, second bomb bag...thats all i can think of right now. i will go back and check out the cave, and do some more fishing, but the bug collecting is lame so im done with that. got real frustrated with the hyrule circus ordeal, so gave that up (kept missing the last star).

Cave of ordeals?

Sounds challenging, I know the one in Disgaea was.

Yup, 'tis an underground cave filled with beasts, in some of the most wicked combinations possible. Plus once you get in, you have to stick with it to the bottom, because bailing out means starting the entire thing over again. One room in particular has a nasty combination of enemies that cost me all four of my fairies plus a game over...

Winning the STAR game nets you the giant quiver, which you'll likely want for tackling the Cave. Bug collecting gets a 1000 rupee wallet, too.

Hmmm, like the one in Wind waker, just a lot more challenging.

I love going there btw 😐

what are you sayin, better than ocarina or not?

No one can really honestly say now, it takes time to digest. TP has that so new/so pretty/so big factor weighing in everyone minds right now.

I am really disapointed in the game, beat it yesterday and did not live up to my standards.
