50 hours total

i got 23 poes, 14 heart containers, 3 bottles, 600 money bag, second bomb bag...thats all i can think of right now. i will go back and check out the cave, and do some more fishing, but the bug collecting is lame so im done with that. got real frustrated with the hyrule circus ordeal, so gave that up (kept missing the last star).

Took me 29. 70 Hours my Ass. 😠

29? You certainly rushed through, didn't you? Missed a lot? I've played for a little over 50 hours now, and I haven't completed all the sidequests.

How fun/entertaining are the sidequests?

Do they add a lot to the game?

So aside from being short( 😂 ) what was wrong?

I found some interesting stuff about the timeline. I knew there was a timeline split but didnt expect it to be this long.

Also, has anyone encountered this problem?

Looks like a nasty bug. That's why you should always have two save files, so you don't save yourself into a hole.

No, I just passed that part, nothing went wrong. 😑

You're not kidding.

Because of the warnings they put in Final Fantasy XII before certain save points, I have like 5 different save files.

Haha yeah, me too. Didn't have a problem at any of those segments, though.

Yeah, me neither. But I'm paranoid and won't risk getting stuck in that kind of game where if you're stuck in those kinds of situations you're pretty much screwed.

Heh, I've got two files I keep swapping back and forth between...and yeah, I don't think I really had trouble with those specific spots where they tell you to save on a new file.

Any longtime Zelda fan can tell you that their take on the timeline has more holes than a shotgun pancake...

😂 you know I'm probably the only one to read this that will get that reference...

And yeah, Zelda timelines kind of make no sense.

there's no split, the timeline is pretty clear if you pay attention to the games.

holy shit. and so late in the game too. glad that didnt happen to me

The cannon room glitch isn't game ending, actually. The guy's still in there, it just didn't load his textures. You can walk right over to where he'd normally be and talk to the air to fix the glitch.

It's still bad form that it got past debugging, but it's not as bad as it's been made out to be.

Well that's good to know. I'll keep that in mind for the future.

How do you know this by the way? Did it happen to you?

And does this glitch happen in all the games or just some?

Nintendo have pretty much confirmed there is a split.

But I think the fact that A Link to the Past, and the people creating it, clearly state it is a PREQUEL to the original games completely buggers up this presentation placing it after.

there's no split. Link doesn't go back in time at the end of Ocarina, he and zelda simply become children. That's why Link has the Ocarina of Time in Majora's Mask. A Link To the Past was confirmed as the last game in the series by Miyomoto and by the game itself in the fact that Ganon is destroyed permanently, the master sword sleeps forever, Link has the triforce, Link is mentioned as the last of the Knights of Hyrule, and the Sacred Realm is destroyed. That pretty much ends the series.
The awesome thing that Twilight Princess did for the whole storyline is clarified what the hell the imprisoning war was, explained the intros to Link to the Past and Minish Cap, an pretty much established Minish Cap as the first game in the series, not to mention explaining where evil and monsters came from in the first place.
