Speculation: Who is R.A.B. ????? (Spoiler Alert)

hmmmm...maybe although im still with the whole whos dead is dead and although we may be seeing or hearing from them again they're going to remain dead.
Although this wouldn't make a difference to the ending, well perhaps it would have meant that Dumbledore retained some of his strength why didnt Harry just use the water spell and fill Dumbledores mouth with water? why did it have to be a cup? because in the 4th book Fleur put the fire out on her skirt, so why not just spray it in to Dumbledores mouth?

I think RAB could have filled the basin with the Draught of Living Death, somehow alerted DD and that's how DD looked as though he was dead. 1. If the potion was the draught of living death, DD would fell asleep, which he didn't.
2. DD wouldn't put harry and himself in such a danger if he knew that his "partner" RAB already had the horcrux.

However, Dumbledore was described with the word 'sleep' twice near the part when he supposedly dies.

That's more than a coincidence, coming from JKR...

Just because RAB stole the locket, that doesnt mean that he went to the cave to get it. He could have switched it before Voldemort put the Horcrux in the cave.

Not likely... I think voldemort would hang on to a locket that cheery... kinda like his suitcase.

Hmm, perhaps Snape didn't actually kill Dumbledore. We learned about non-verbal spells in this book, and we know that you have to mean a Dark curse, hence Snape may have meant a different curse non-verbally whilst saying the Avada Kedavra incantation. Furthermore, the Avada Kedavra on Dumbledore didn't work like all of the others we know off. Cedric and Frank Bryce for example just fell over lifeless. Dumbledore went sailing into the air like a rag-doll, indicating to me that it was perhaps a different curse. Finally, we have all of the other evidence, Dumbledore described as sleeping, the phoenix coming out from his funeral pyre, and perhaps whilst Fawkes was apparently lamenting with his song, he was in fact healing Dumbledore. Finally, the only other time we see something spontaneously combust, just as Dumdledore's body does, is when Fawkes is coming back to life.

then it could be the potion in the cave.
But, why was DD screaming and begging Harry to kill him if it was the DOLD??

Yeah, I can see where people are comming from when saying that but I still dunno. Rowling said some one was gonna die. I don't think she'll make him come back...

Well, it is called Draught of Living Death... Dumbledore needed water immediately after drinking he potion...

What if the water gets sucked out of you, or something??

Okay, I'll go far enough to say Snape is good... I've even go far enough to say Dumbledore planned his death...But I will not go far enough to say he is still alive... It just doesn't seem logical... You guys are supplying brilliant evidence, no doubt about that, but when it comes down to it... I just don't think he's still alive...

you know what I think... my opinion is that DD is really dead. There's no sense that he'd be alive in the 7th book. But on the other hand I think that sirius is alive....I mean...the way sirius died...it was confusing.

And I also think that r.a.b isn't regulus 'cause that is just so obvious. there is more intrigue in jkr's stories...

I agree about Sirius, I've been determined since he 'died' to believe he would return. The fact that he fell through a veil just wasn't good enough for me, Sirius had escaped too much in his life to be killed by a mysterious veil 🙄

But I also firmly believe DD will return, kinda like Gandalf from LOTR. I won't believe DD has been murdered, he's also far too awesome a wizard to allow such a thing to finally kill him.

yeah I know what you're saying. I understand completely. And I think that Snape aint "evil". either he is good, (he killed DD because DD begged so, my opinion; DD saved by his death Snape's and also Malfoy's lifes, so dd's death isn't useless, he was a brilliant wizard and he knew what was going on with the unbreakable vow) or he is playing to his own bag. If you understand what I'm saying🙂

and one thing that's disturbing my mind is...Is there REALLY ever said, in jkr books, that regulus's second name begins with an A.. I think that not.
