Doc Ock Vs Wolverine

Thats true, but thats within their abilities to do so, regardless of strenght too?

Right, but you and Jinzin have been throwing arguments back and forth about how 15 must be true or how 12% is complete BS. This is only to address that. Just because Spider-Man is far, far, far stronger than someone, doesn't mean he's all that much faster, apparently.

lets agree not to talk about spiderman anymore. we have all come to the conclusion that ock is fast enough to hit logan and rip his balls off

Wolverine will kill Ock, and gut him in the face 50 times, and eat his bones, like a savage animal from the east...wait a sec, Wolverine will be dead before he gets that close, anyway.

Yes, that makes sense in its own, but if I'm talking about a stride or pounce it CAN be.

A full force jump is a method of travel, and can be fast.

My stronger point would be that, if he reacts AND attacks again, with being faster, he is a faster attacker after the inital attack anyway.

12% is a big difference in a fight.

Ever fight someone 2x stronger than you?3x,4x,10x,20x,30x, its a big factor in a no holds barred fighht.

Another point is reflexes, imagine 2x reflexes compared to another person, 5x, 10x, 15x, its all a big difference in a fight.

But I don't really want to go spiderman vs wolverine, but it inadvertently gets brought up in unintentional comparisons.

Dr. Octopus' abilities derive from his four steel tentacles. Attached to a harness encircling his lower chest and waist, each telepathically controlled, telescoping limb can move at speeds of up to 90 feet per second and strike with the force of a jackhammer. Also, Doc Ock is able to generate a 50-mph wind by spinning the prehensile extremities like a giant fan. At full extension, the mechanical appendages allow him to travel high above the ground as if on stilts. Using all four, he can achieve a maximum speed of about 50 mph. Each arm is about 5 inches in diameter and terminates in three single-jointed pincers.

- Four telepathically controlled, super-strong steel tentacles attached to a harness encircling his lower chest and waist

- Brilliant engineer and inventor

- Extraordinary intelligence and concentration, enabling him to perform multiple complex actions simultaneously with his tentacles

wolvi charges, ock catches him, ock lifts him into the air, ock has breakfast, ock drinks coffee, ock goes to a baseball game, ock fights spiderman, ock has lunch, ock goes to the k-mart and fights dr. doom with ray guns made out of CD's, ock has dinner at Olive Garden, ock goes home, ock watches law&order, ock goes to bed, ock wakes up, ock brushes his teeth, ock smells goat @$$ and realizes he still has wolverine in his grasp, ock kills him. the end

To be fair, a comparison between Spider-Man and Wolverine is, probably not only inevitable, but necessary in this thread. C'mon, Doc Ock hardly fights anybody but Spider-Man. You have to compare Wolvie and Spidey in order to figure it out.

I wouldn't complain about the actual comparison taking place, but it shouldn't get out of hand like it always seems to.

I know, its the fact that ock isn't popular, so its unavoidable...

He hasn't had a book doing a bunch of cool stuff all the damned time...

Wolverine would have chance beating th old Ock. The NEW Ock (and the current one) would kick his ass in five seconds.

Fast enough to move his tentacles to block bullets...

I think this is Otto, not the new guy.

IS that Otto? What have they done to him?!

In any case, it seems whoever that is has tentacles far different from the ones we're all used to. Individual A.I. (which is most likely taken from the movie... dammit) and even their construction is different.

I know, the new ock would, but people keep using the old one...

When movies hit and stuff, characters go WAY up in power.

Ock has beaten a guy with tentacles already...

Well, he didn't beat Carlyle, but was giving him a hella of fight. I'll find some scans.

It said dock ock, I was assuming the current one...

Clown ock would lose though...

i was assuming otto...

I love this thread.

It will never die 😄

The new Otto IS the old one, and the same one. With new tentacles and look. See the scans? How Spidey calls him "Otto" and "Ock" and "Octavius"?

Would you agree that the current one would have a greater chance of winning though?

I know the old one would stand a greater chance of losing...

his tentacles are sooo damned fast though, I can't see how anyone would think they're slow....
