The so called "Most Powerful Sith Lord Ever"

In Shatterpoint, Mace Windu remarks to Yoda, "A shame [Palpatine] can't touch the Force. He might have been a fine Jedi."[39]

The Databank explains that the Force "granted him inhuman dexterity and speed, agility enough to quickly kill three Jedi Masters" in seconds.[1] Palpatine is a master lightsaber combatant and skilled at using Force lightning to attack his opponents.[1] Stover elaborates on the duel between Palpatine and Yoda: "From the shadow of a black wing, a small weapon ... slid into a withered hand and spat a flame-colored blade[.] When the blades met it was more than Yoda against Palpatine, more the millennia of Sith against the legions of Jedi; this was the expression of the fundamental conflict of the universe itself. Light against dark. Winner take all."[40] During the duel, Yoda realizes, "He had lost before he started."[41]

Thompson's "Sithisis" comic suggests that Palpatine is able to mask his appearance through the Force,[38] but other Star Wars sources point to his constant use of the dark side of the Force for disfiguring his body.[37] In Shadows of the Empire, Prince Xizor comments, "He looks like a walking corpse. ... Like a mummified body dead a thousand years. Amazing he is still alive, much less the most powerful man in the galaxy. He isn't even that old; it is more as if something is slowly eating him."[42]

Palpatine also has other talents. According to the Databank and New Essential Guide to Characters, Palpatine possesses great patience and his maneuverings are as a dejarik grandmaster moves pieces on a board.[43] He is a diabolical genius.[44][45]

Yeah yeah yeah Sidious is extremely powerful, but just look the words i have put in bold! CAREFULLY!! I have more proof that Sids is not the ultimate Sith. 🙂

In my previous posts i have shown what Revan has done. (From the 2 games he has been in) I have quote that is probably supported by GL
himself.

They said Revan is possibly the Sith'ari for killing Malak!
They also said Revan played a big role in the new Sith order, His holocron taught Bane the thought bomb he used it to destroy the brother hood of darkness. It was after Bane found Revan's holocron that he changed the Sith rules. (Revan has been fulfilling the Sith prophecy of the Ultimate Sith)

In the latest canon, it says Revan is the perfect practitioner of both light and dark sides of the force. (Want the proof? let me know?)

It says "threatens to" not that Caedus is but he has the chance/potential and do please post the quote in which GL States Revan>Sidious. If that is what you are referring to.

You are an idiot that makes Noobaris look smart. You've been proven wrong and you continuously post. You have no common sense, nor intelligence. I'm surprised you haven't been banned yet. And Sidious is the most powerful sith lord. I doubt GL is going to allow the writers to make another sith lord more powerful than Palpatine, especially Jacen SOlo. So far the only being more powerful than Sidious is Luke.

You asked where it was stated recently that Sidious was the most powerful sit. Well the most recent statement I could find that said so was in the book called "Death Star" which was released in October of this year, and in it says The Rebels were turning out to be more troublesome than many had expected. The Emperor had known it would be thus, of course; the resistance had not been a surprise to him. The Emperor was completely in concert with the dark side of the Force. He was the most powerful Sith who had ever existed.

Edit: And as you know the canon ending for kotor is a lightside jedi. Malak says that Revan was more powerful now(as a jedi) then as a sith lord. And in the ROTS it says about Yoda he avatar of light, Supreme Master of the Jedi Order, the fiercest, most implacable,most devastatingly powerful foe the darkness had ever known.........

That statement means that Yoda is above any light sider who came before him and he could not kill Sidious in ROTS (more of a stalemate between them in terms of power) That puts Yoda above Revan.

I'm pretty sure yoda was above everybody...except for maybe anikin before he was burned.

Ok, i won't post anything on this subject until i have more information. GL has had a very long time to completely kill of any debates as to who really is the most powerful Sith Lord. I can't find a single quote directly from GL to finally prove Sids is the best.

You're all forgetting i'm a Sidious fan too. (He is my 3rd favourite) i may not have all the information some of you have, as i haven't read every single SW comic or book out so far. (I end up reading Godfather and other gangsta books!!) As i can't prove who is the best either way, i'll stop posting FOR NOW!! 🙂

Hope you can see just like Yoda and Luke, Sidious was the most powerful Sith Lord until Darth Revan and Ragnos were created.

Remember it's a business, GL may be a billionaire, but others aren't, so why won't they create new more powerful characters like Revan and Ragnos!?

UM, Yoda was the more powerful light sider to ever exist up to that point afterwards Luke would take that from him. And I proved that (lightside) Revan>Darth Revan(which Malak agreed with)

And for the record Ragnos was created in 1994 and Revan in 2003 since then there have been quite few of the quotes coming out after the creation of Revan and Malak including the quote I posted from "Death Star" and the quote posted earlier from The New Essential Chronology. And for the record Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah and what ever other holiday someone maybe celebrating this month.

I see the forum is still riddled with complete and utter stupidity. How can anyone intelligently debate against Palpatine being the most powerful sith lord? Oh wait, I already covered that...complete and utter stupidity.

Really, the entire argument is pointless. Arguing or defending obvious facts, points that have been ceaselessly reiterated for years, is very fruitless. It's as pointless as engaging in an argument that the Earth revolves around the Sun or (for a more Star Warsian example) that Anakin is the Chosen One.

Palpatine is the most powerful and greatest Sith Lord in the Star Wars mythos; it's incontrovertible, and the ramblings of his detractors won't change it.

I wholeheartedly agree. I think new kids come here and think they'll be the one to prove that fact wrong because they just played KoTOR, or just a nifty new EU book.

Fact of the matter is this: Palpatine is the most powerful Sith Lord until George Lucas says otherwise. Too much evidence points to this for anyone to even think they can argue against it.

I'm now reminded why I stopped coming around so much.

I don't know, the way LOTF authors are going, they are going to somehow make Jacen more powerful than Sidious. I'm going to shit a brick if that happens.

Yea, you're right, but I'm trying to have faith that GL will have to approve everything first and not let it happen, unless he really decides to mess up and let jacen kill Luke, in which case he would have to be stronger than Palpatine. I hope to god he doesn't do that, but i guess time will tell...

I believe that Darth Bane is the best of the best, not because of his strength or power of the force, both of which very powerful and menacing, but the fact that he created the Rule of Two, one to hold this power, while the other craves it. +if u read his book he wiped out the Brotherhood of Darkness, almost completly destroyed the army of light, was able to withstand very dangerous poisins that were in his bloodstream, and learn and comprehend more from the ancient sith then any that came before or after him.

Darth Revan created the idea of the rule of two. The Brotherhood of Darkness wiped out itself. Every Sith Lord is able to withstand poisons, as it says in the book. He sure as hell didn't learn and comprehend more than any that came before or after 🙄
He learnt most of his stuff from Revan, so Revan knew more. And I'd be willing to bet $5 that the ancient sith knew more about themselves than Bane.

u know what dude i cannot believe that u can think such a thing , bane tricked the brohood leader to do the thought bomb, he collected info on all sith lords before him, and he did not even know he could do this crud until he joined the republic and fought against the trandoshens, he also ENFORCED the rule of two , made it known, before him it did exist but it was not well known except to very few of the "sith" themselves
