Dooku vs. Sidious

wtf

Me
Okay. . . in a one-on-one, Sidious would beat Dooku.

That's my second post in this thread.

I skimmed through most of my posts and I don't think I ever suggest Dooku would win anything other than a lightsaber duel. I did say Sidious would get almost certainly get owned by any ancient Sith, but das different.

You
But no. [Palpatine's] fighting ability is good, and his Force attunement and Dark Side mastery is beyond any other Sith in the movies. But in lightsaber ability, he's no Dooku.

😐

Also, I make a pleasantly revolutionary observation about Anakin's duel with Dooku before it is snuffed out by 2006.

such a bright child

In fact, I sucked considerably less at the beginning of my tenure here than I did in the months following Lightsnake's arrival. What a beast.

Honestly, my least favorite thing about me in this thread . . . is the way I used to use ellipses.

I saw that you ranked Sidious and Dooku, and Dooku ended up having "more points."

You saw that that didn't change my conclusion, and that in the post immediately preceding that "ranking" I concluded that Sidious likely had more mastery and power than Dooku.

So suck it. Little me was beastly.

Pfft. Likely.

Though, to be fair to my point, Dooku may or may not have superior lightsaber technique.

Spoiler:
Palpatine's still better than Dooku, though. Smarter, more powerful, more important, taller....

Christopher Lee used to be a spy, though. It's on Cracked and in the Return of the King Special Features; apparently he knows exactly what somebody getting stabbed in the back sounds like.

Ian McDiarmid just makes silly faces and says silly things.

Spoiler:
you do not take defeat well

Almost there...

Ya, but I knew all along that Palpatine was Dooku's superior. You, on the other hand....

...like everybody else here suggested, that Dooku might be able to overcome RotS Sidious in a one-on-one situation just like Mace Windu did it - through superior lightsaber skill and utilizing some heavy force defense (maybe).

Did you resurrect the thread to show anybody how hard you failed to provide proof to the contrary, despite of dedicating three years of your life to it? *shrug* 🙄

He already conceded in his own roundabout, Gideon way.

Leave him be.

No.

Finish him.

Did you see the new Mortal Kombat trailer?

Both of 'em. Have high hopes for the game and the movie.

The game trailer was implicitly sickening. I now hate Kung Lao.

Too bad some of you have not seen the movie trailer. Greatest trailer EVER.

You know that wasn't a real trailer, right? They were just trying to intice someone to let them make one. It may not be a thing like the trailer.

Plus Gid's TFU2 shat all over it two days ago.

No, it was confirmed to be the trailer to the 2013 movie.

Proof of concept, not a "real" trailer.

Ah **** they updated it, I was looking at the June 12 update. DAMNIT I was so excited. Why can't they make this into a movie? Would it be a stretch to say that this would be the most badass movie ever?

^ That wuz me.

And it's absolutely correct. Palpatine demonstrates a considerably superior intellect, considerably superior Force powers, potential, and knowledge, and is ultimately the far more dangerous combatant. There's a reason that, in several sources, Dooku demonstrates utter fear of the man.

Palpatine, on the other hand, regarded Dooku with something approaching mild curiosity and contempt amusement.

So, no. I love this thread and it was very interesting. But the only reason this was being argued is because certain parties had a hard on for Dooku that overwhelmed what we actually saw in canon.

I call it E(rection)-canon.

Who brought this back?

Conceded what?

What was pertinent to me.

Don't worry, only Publiusnobody thinks any less of you for it.
