That hit it right on the head. I believe that is why Trekkies think that Star Trek is better than Star Wars. Star Trek seemed to focus a lot on the technology as more of a novel type of thing and that attracted a certain type of fan following. Star Wars is more of a mystical type of fantasy that focuses on inner conflict with a special power known as the force...Star Wars just lets the technology seamlessly integrate with the genre...whereas Star Trek writers go out of their way to flaunt the technology used. IMO.

It was a refernce specifically to the Star Trek vs. Star Wars debate, not to me not supporting Star Wars as a franchise.

If you meant the other, in context to my above explanation, then it is due to Jaden's absurdly awesome arguing powers (when sober, lol) FOR the Star Trek verse.
