The Official BLEACH series Thread

If I recall correctly Gary Coleman has beaten many a tall man's ass.

Whatchoo talkin' 'bout indeed.

What was all that great about Barragan, all I saw was a really arrogant dick who got defeated in the lamest way of any of the espada in the whole manga.

An arrogant VIKING dick.

Rotting from the inside out is lame? That's a pretty messed up death if I do say so myself. Now Aaroniero(who was one of my favorites) died a lame death. Really? Rukia can kill captain-class opponents now?

Plus Barragan allowed Hachi to gain some well deserved respect points while the rest of his gain lost pretty much all of theirs.

It was lame because of how anticlimactic it was. It's like wow, they could have done that at any time if they'd figured it out, it made the rest of the fight seem really pointless.

Aaroniero would definitely be the second worse though, especially because we never really saw what his release could do.

None of the Espada below Grimmjow struck me as particularly captain class. A close-range headshot with her ultimate move? Yea, I can buy it, the individually toughest person he ate was Kaien after all, so he's more an exceptional Vice-Captain in that area, somewhere between most VCs and Captains. Rukia's VC class, and Captains don't just let themselves stabbed by VCs for a reason.

Heck of a lot more entertaining than the Szayel fight.

...How could they have done that at any time?

"Hey can we stick our rotting limb inside of you for a moment sir?"

I'm with you, it was pretty clearly a desperation move, that Hachi wasn't sure would even work.

Honestly it's my favorite of the recent fights. They try something (bankai), it doesn't work but gives them an idea how to try something else (bankai in barrier), which kinda works, but not enough, then they pull one last move based on the information they've gained from the rest of the fight and win.

By teleporting it... it's not like they asked the time they did it.

But that requires one of them getting hit first, or most specifically Hachi, I dunno if he could've done someone else's.

I can totally see not wanting to try sacificing limbs if there's other options left.

Soifon and Omaeda cannot teleport objects. 😐

Most of the espada did have lower-class captain reiatsu and Szayel only lost because Mayuri had prep-time. Rukia's "ultimate move" would quite possibly only work in that particular fight, not to mention she just pulled it out her ass when she was about to die.

Although it was anticlimatic, Barragan's ability was pretty much the only thing that could seriously damaged him seeing as how Soi-fon's bankai gave lukewarm results.

So wait. Aizen was watching Ichigo his whole life but he didn't know he was Isshin's son? Thats some slack work.

I was wondering about that....

So, wait...

Ichigo is Half Hollow, Half Shinigami?

Or half Shinigami and half human?

What was the rest of it?

It seems obvious that Ichigo is half hollow, half shinigami....what were you guys going on about, earlier?

It does make sense for her to have gained more since Kaien was with her, and he did comment her powers could've done a lot of damage earlier, when she blasted the wall instead of him. I think her other best moves might've been able to do it too (she'd one-shotted two Arrancar before after all), it just happened to be one she could use in said circumstances.

Szayel got absolutely stomped because of Mayuri's prep time, but I'll point out how Ishida's blast really wrecked him before. Plenty of captains would just steam-roll him even without fancy abilities. Kenpachi would've mulched him.

A hole in the face isn't too bad. I bet if they did the contained blast one more times, that would've done it.

Barragan really lived up to the 'elite Espada' thing better than most.

It is time for the dads to win this. Ichigo will

Spoiler:
fail miserably against Gin
and then Archer-Dad will come and help Sworder-Dad clean up.

I somewhat question that. Rukia's shikai is just one big contradiction IMO. I could understand if she got in a way similar to how Renji got his bankai: through year on years of training before and after SS arcs. However seeing as how she's had it for decades and is seated if not lieutenant material, its a real mystery why she got beat up by an uber weak hollow.

But that's in the past. Right now I'm just praying that Ichigo doesn't pull an Ulquiorra on Gin and that Isshin doesn't disappoint like Shinji.

i remember Cpt. Joshiro saying that Rukia should be a seated officer but because seated officers go on more dangerous missions, Byakuya wouldn't let it happen

Human-shinigami. The first page in the new chapter makes the 'human' part clear.

I didn't get that. I still see it as a blank.

It's still not clear that it is human and shinigami.
