Mods. Weren't Shunsui and Ukitake the only shinigami to have a shikai that comes in multiples?

Shuhei Hisagi.

kusarigama is only one weapon.

I see two here, and I sure as hell ain't drunk. 😐

PS: It's called Kazeshini. 🙂

nope!

I already know what a Kusarigama is.

I was talking about his weapon specifically.

_____
EDIT: What will voting on Yuroichi's weapon accomplish?

Meh. What was that chain for anyway? To summon Yuroichi?

doesnt matter its still a kusarigama shrug

thats like saying a katana in bleach is not a katana. doesnt matter what abilities it has... its still a katana.

actually your wrong it isnt a kusurigama because or the fact that both have blades on each side and are connected to each other with a chain. A kusurigama is a blade with and iron ball chained to it

this is kazeshini there is a big difference than the pic you put up

a) Kazeshini just resembles a Kusarigama. Instead of having a iron weight at the end of the weapon, Kazeshini has another weapon.
That weight is part of the Kusarigama. Kazeshini doesn't have that.
It's like saying The Golden Gate Bridge without suspension cables is still a suspension bridge.

In addition, the handle is pretty long. The weapon more so resembles a Scythe rather than a Sickle.

b) The katana, as we know it today, is a type of steel forged into the signature shape.
A Zanpakuto is something entirely different. It's a part of the Shinigami's soul. It certainly isn't made of steel either.
Heck, its true form is that of a creature rather than a sword.
It's like the humans calling the Koala a 'Koala Bear' simply because the Koala looks like a Bear, when in fact, the Koala isn't even a Bear.

Hmmm...

Demonic Phoenix is right, I wonder why Kazeshini isn't recognized as a twin Zanpaktou...

To think that I sat through the whole filler...

not having a ball at the end does not make it not a kusarigama, its just fantasized. its pretty common in anime.

Only paired swords. I don't know if that applies to limb-guards.

That does make it not a Kusarigama. ermm

Nahh, not really. You are basically saying that a sword without any hilt whatsoever is still a sword. Or that a gun is still a gun without a trigger.

As for it being fantasized, sure. I mean, I'd totally call an anime shotgun a pistol instead. I mean, the shape and structure may be different, but it's still a Pistol right? Just like Kazeshini's shape and structure is different from a Kusarigama and yet is still a Kusarigama.

Cool. So then I guess Superman, Saiyans, & Shinigami are all humans. I mean, they look like humans, so they must be humans, just as some Zanpakutos look like Katanas and therefore must be Katanas. Oh wait, my bad. Superman, Saiyans & Shinigami are all Magical Humans. doh

I also guess that the Koala is really a bear now, since humans think it looks like a bear.
Interesting how this works eh? Naming and categorizing something based on the way it looks, not on what it really is or what it is actually named.

I wonder what most Bankais and Shikais are. You may say they are Katanas, but I would disagree; by your logic, they must be something entirely different.

Renji changes his sword from a katana to a segmented whip-blade, and then into a Bone Snake with some hair still on it. We should call his Bankai "Bone Snake with Red hair" from now on, instead of Hihio Zabimaru.
Sorry, that's "Bone Snake with Red hair and a Red cowl on Renji."

Renji used "Bone Snake with Red hair and a Red cowl on Renji" against Byakuya. At first, Renji's "Bone Snake with Red hair and a Red cowl on Renji" was giving Byakuya a hard time. Even once Byakuya used his shikai "Thousand small Cherry Blossom leaf-like blades," Renji was still dominating with "Bone Snake with Red hair and a Red cowl on Renji." However, once Byakuya used Bakudo #61 - "six very thin weird shapes of yellow light acting as a powerful barrier" and released his bankai "Thousand swords that separate into countless small Cherry Blossom leaf-like blades," he won the battle.

If this translation is correct, then it seems to apply to Soul Cutters in general.

It's probably a translation error, and the statement would apply to paired swords only, seeing as Shuhei Hisagi has pairs.
That, or Yamamoto doesn't know about Shuhei's shikai.

Sealed zanpakuto are all katanas... just being magic doesn't change a thing, just like we say ikkaku's shikai is a spear/three section staff...

the problem with every single example you listed, every one, is that everything that youve stated has all been classified, canonically, as not being what they resemble.

that aside, youre arguing semantics, which is a waste of everybodies time.

this is also true.

Dude. Do you know what a Katana is in the real world, or what it's made of?

I cannot remember if sealed Zanpakuto are really classified as Katanas in Bleach, but fair enough, if they are, I'll concede the Katana thing.

I was just trying to show you how stupid it is to classify and properly name something based on what it somewhat resembles, rather than what it actually is, which is how we classify and name things these days.

Do you know what a "spear" is? It's usually not made of spiritual energy. But nonetheless, Ikkaku wields a spear in battle. Coyote Starrk has guns. And Uryu is always stated as wielding bow&arrows, despite his weapon being anything but.
