Hey! At least its better than talking about Aizen's really weak transformation.

Speaking of which, what ever happened to Aizen using his super-hax shikai?

Nah, man, we're not talking about the same thing.

I was talking about about calling stuff katanas "katanas" because they look and act like katanas until released.

1. Much better ways to pass time no? Liek arguments and stuff.
2. We can use arguments and stuff to pass the time.
3. Assuming Kubo reveals to us what it is.

1. Not when we don't have much else to talk about until the next chapter. And, it is technically an argument because some said Shikai and some said Mod.
2. That's what this is.
3. It's too good for it not to be revealed. We'll know for sure in the next chapter....at least we'll know eventually.

I know, I already conceded that point 😬

It didn't make much sense tbh. Also, that 'rope' is actually a chain.
Also, in the scan link I posted, Yamamoto says "Pair", not "Twin." Meh, chalk it up to a translation error I guess.

I did not realize that you conceded that point about the katana name being given. I might have delayed my post a couple of hours...not sure.

Anyway, I was referring to Ukitake's red rope, which connects his twin zanpakutou whereas, the Shikai for Hisagi's sword is complete metal from each side. It was the only difference I coudl see that would explain why the swords would be called twin and Hisagi's would not be.

1. You could join in the argument about Kazeshini being a Kusarigama or not 313
2. I thought we were discussing the voting process?
3. With Kubo, you never know. Granted, I think it'll be revealed soon.
Also, Shunsui's bankai was never revealed, and IMO, it's too good for it to not be shown. For all we know, this might be the final arc in the manga.

Understood. I'd actually conceded around 11 hours earlier 😛

It's all up in the air. Kubo never really revealed what 'Pair' meant anyway, so yeah. He either forgot about that earlier statement when making Kazeshini, or it was translated poorly, and Yama was talking about swords specifically.

Either way, by looks, it is a pair; with a chain connecting them, much like Ukitake's two swords being connected by the rope. Both the rope and the chain aren't for decoration either. The rope is as much a part of Sougyo no Kotowari as the chain is a part of Kazeshini (i.e. they're both needed for proper usage).
To be honest, the rope looks a little metallic I think.

Maybe Yama meant they had the only zanpakuto who came in pairs in general, not just a specific release.

1. Nah. It's neither. it's a double sided, duplicated, chain-linked, Scythe. or, a DSDCL Scythe. 😐
2. Really? I though you were discussing discussing things like the stuff in point 1, Zanpakutous, in their sealed form, being like katanas, and Kenpachi being my favorite character.
3. You d@mn negative nancy. 🙁 You could be right, but, he had better shed some light on dis.

How dare you concede. I'm going to convince you that you were right so that you'll retract your concession, then I'll pwn you so that you'll concede again, just so I can get the victory. awesome

Anyway, yes. My justification for the difference is half-@ssed, at best. Both Shikai's are connected. One is red rope that has metal rings in it, and the other is a chain. My logic was that rope didn't really play a part. But, that's not really true, is it?

Kazeshini to me is one zanpaktou even though it has two blades the chain makes it one.... Hisagi only has one zanpaktou when kazeshini isnt released. while both shunsui and ukitake both have two unreleased swords

I'm not impressed with the latest episode fell short of what i expected 😬

And when we get down to it, I think that's the real reason.

I may be wrong but unlike Shunsui, Ukitake only carries a single unreleased katana...

Yeah, that is right...

In the anime, their zanpakuto have two spirits each. It could be something like that in the manga as well.

LOL

That's sadly not really dumber than what he actually looks like. At least Aizen admitted he looked like crap, though.

I actually think its kinda cute

so are those fists Yoruichi's shikai or one of Uruhara's inventions??

my guess would be shikai seeing as to how it suits her fighting style

Yes, clearly an invention for her from Urahara would be designed to contradict her fighting style.

I'm switching back to shikai, but only because I think it makes more sense in plotting.

Could simply be argued that Ukitake has a rope that connects his two swords, so the chain doesn't make it one Zanpakuto.

~ As for the unreleased swords, not exactly. Ukitake carries only one. It's still one of the best reasons I've heard, since Ukitake's sword doubles just after he says his release command. We aren't shown if it doubles before transformation, or after.

Or this.
