Meh, most of the Captains only won due to PIS (Harribel), Being outnumbered (and PIS) (Stark), and their own hubris (and being outnumbered and PIS) (Barragan) rather than actual power. In fact, powerwise the Espada beat the crap out of most captains.
In fact imo the only ones who suffered legitimate defeats are Yammy, Grimmjaw and Nnoitra.

I would prefer if Tsukishima turned out to be a minor villain just for the Full-bringer arc and that once Ichigo regain his powers he'll be even stronger than Aizen yet still would be no match for the Vasto lorde and somehow has to take control over a new Hollow 3 form in order to compete with them.
It would also be nice to learn more of the KidÅ Corps and perhaps some triple digit KidÅ and more of the Royal Guard and the Spirit King, who Aizen and Urahara referred to as a "it".
There's so much that can be done, but so little that actually will be done I'm afraid.

Never mind, I've found it.
It wasn't in the manga though.
Well if there are three level of Hollows, then at least four of them has to be Vasto lorde for them to be in the majority as indicated.
So it's safe to assume that Espada #0, -#1, -#2 and -#3 were Vasto Lorde.
On the other hand I doubt that there are any Gillian Espada save for Espada #9, which Rukia managed to defeat with her Shikai and whom's appearance was nothing like the other Espada.
Now assuming that only Espada #9 would be Gillian then at least 5 would have to be five, in other words Ulquiorra would be a Vasto lorde as well.
Of course for all we know all Espada save for one could be Vasto lorde.

I have to admit that I found it odd that Kenpachi and Byakuya, the two first captains Ichigo defeat pre- and post-Bankai were able to deal the 0th Espada's release, when amped Ichigo later had trouble with Espada #6.
Not only that but Kenpachi and Byakuya played around in pretty much the entire fight from what we could see, mostly arguing who of them should deal the killing blow while parrying his blows while having their backs turned to him.
