Doesn't matter. It makes it very clear that, whether he wants to admit it or not, Grimmjow is afraid of fighting Ulquiorra.
You know who else talks shit to people stronger than him? Dis guy. And there is a trope dedicated to the hatred of this guy.
Choosing not to fight someone does not = afraid to fight that person. Try again, hipster.
Grimmjow would only fall into the scrappy doo trope if never managed to ever beat any of the people he talks shit to. On the contrary, he gave the protagonist a worst beating than anyone else in the manga has given to him, even Ulquiorra, and has more wins under his belt than losses. No go, son.
Several characters have killed Ichigo.
Kenpachi was the first, IIRC.
Therefore Kenpachi>
Also, Barragan is manlier than Grimmjow, for many of the reasons you say Grimmjow is manly.
Barragan talked shit to the Espada above him, challenging his authority on the spot.
His last act, even while his body was disintegrating, was lashing out with his axe against Aizen, attempting to kill him before he decayed.
That is badass.

Well lets analyze this. He wants to beat Ichigo, he thinks Ulquiorra is in the way. Instead of killing Ulquiorra, he made him a non factor via Deus Ex Cube. Grimmjow seems to want to fight Ulquiorra but when Ulquiorra actually gets serious, he decides he doesn't want to fight. Reeks of cowardice.
He really didn't. Byakuya kicked his arse so bad he lost his powers. Renji would have killed him had the Hollow mask not gotten in the way. Ulquiorra did kill him. Grimmjow, if I'm remember correctly, didn't beat him nearly as badly.

Eh. What I expected really.
I'm not really getting what Kubo is trying to do.
I think he is trying to make me sympathetic to the Fullbringers, but in most of their cases I am finding it really hard to be. Since I have no idea why I should be, like, I have no idea why Tsukishima is so incredibly butthurt about Ginjo dying or how he saved him, and shit.
