Anyone who thinks the Rescue Rukia arc is not the best Bleach arc is wrong.

Chapters Out!

Spoiler:
I really Enjoyed this one, Its setting up the arc very well

Sasakibe is now confirmed dead along with practically all of Squad 1, Looks like we're in for a very bloody war if this continues :V

Also it seems Ivan was doing a Grand Fisher with the Me an arrancar thing, he probably just considered himself better than normal Arrancar due to his new Powers.

Nels back, which is awesome, And I guess Halibel has something to do with the reason why Buckbeard can get Arrancar so easliy.

I Loved this chap, 10/10

Buckbeard is badass 8)

Wow....

Spoiler:
Halibel sucks at being a God-Queen of Hueco Mundo. Then again, that position is riddled with bad luck. Well at least we got some good fanservice out of it.

So...if SS was indirectly talking to Ichigo, wonder why they didn't want Orihime's godly healing powers to bring him back. It also doesn't make sense how Mr. Nobody lieutenant could die while Hinamori and Rangiku can still be up and running, especially since the dude was sent to a proper facility.

Spoiler:
YES! DIE!

Finally, our first confirmed good guy death in all of the current Bleach story!

NEL is back! And Hallibel too I guess.

And the villain...what a dick. haermm

For a man of peace, führer Buckbeard is awfully quick to resort to pointing his own minions to death.

Maybe the leading group of Vandenreich are Quincy, and the minions are Arrancar with Quincy equipment. This speculation is based on that Arrancar aren't trained to fight, implying that their abilities may be instinctual and crude.

IIRC to become an arrancar a Hollow needs to kill other Hollows and eat them, so they should have plenty of fighting experience simply by virtue of making it to accancar-level.

You're confusing Arrancar with Adjuchas.

Adjuchas is the second Menos-class -- the first being Gillian, and the third Vasto Lorde -- and is natural. Arrancar were the fruit of Aizen's experimentation of hollows with the Hōgyoku.

Tier Harribel was a Vasto Lorde before she got turned into an Arrancar.

True.

But in that case, how can they make new arrancar without the Hogyoku?

They're either bred, Harribel being in chains and all. 😱

Or they've done some serious DNA informatics, deciphering of the genetic makeup of the Arrancar, and somehow used that to alter every single DNA string in every single cell of hollows. Assuming that the DNA of an Arrancar is different from that of a regular hollow.

It might also be that the Arrancar is a exalted state of a hollow, and the people affiliated with Vandenreich know how to unlock it.

Why does Halibel suck so much now? Wonder if Ichigo's friends will actually be relevant in this arc. And I wonder how Nel got into the human world w/o seeing a garganta around.

Kubo did good this chapter.

YES HALIBEL! MY BABY!

Who is now suspected to be making babies apparently.

More than likely she's just strong enough to rip off masks or they can use her power to copy the arrancarization process somehow. Hollows don't reproduce that way.

Doujins disagree. gtfo

Do what Starrk did, separate your soul.

All it takes is removing the mask, apparently. The Hogyoku simply aided this process and ensured that the resulting Arrancars weren't failures.

So I guess I am the only one not wowed and sucking Kubo's balls for this chapter.

Good points: Neliel's return, the new villain, and those two lame ass fools being killed by said villain.

Bad points: Mainly because Kubo seems to have missed the point people made when bemoaning that no good guys die in Bleach, and his response was to kill the Lieutenant with the least screen-time and characterization. How can I give a shit about someone dying, when they have had maybe what? Two lines? It reeks of an attempt to pitifully placate his audience's complaints while at the same time being too chickenshit to kill a character they care about.

So basically Aura your opinion is wrong.

Oh and what the **** was up with the art? It was really... Cartoony and weird this week.

At least I could tell what was going on this chapter.

You are.

Mainly because no one gives a shit about that guy. Same for Yammy. 313

Maybe the führer is for peace after all, and the reason he killed the Arrancar was because they're hollows and hostile by nature. Maybe he legitimately doesn't believe that hollows can be part of a peaceful society.

He's a Quincy after all, and the Quincy has (as far as we know) rather cruel methods to deal with hollows, removing them from the spiritual circle of death and rebirth.

it would seem so. after all, aside from Nel and her two buddies, I can't really recall any hollows/arrancars that were not violent in some way.

and on another note, I agree with you Nemebro on the character death. while it's a little good to see that it's not just the villains that die in the series, the guy he chose to kill off seemed like a pretty bad choice given how little he means to us, the readers, when compared to everyone.

but hey at least we got to see Nel and Hallibel again, albeit under surprising circumstances. hopefully Kubo will continue to do better.
