Bad points: Mainly because Kubo seems to have missed the point people made when bemoaning that no good guys die in Bleach, and his response was to kill the Lieutenant with the least screen-time and characterization. How can I give a shit about someone dying, when they have had maybe what? Two lines? It reeks of an attempt to pitifully placate his audience's complaints while at the same time being too chickenshit to kill a character they care about.

So basically Aura your opinion is wrong.

Oh and what the **** was up with the art? It was really... Cartoony and weird this week.

As Q99 said, we were actually able to tell what was going on. Also we got to see Halibel chained up an I didn't have the urge to smack the shit out of Uryu for being a smart-ass.

But this chapter does make me question exactly why SS didn't call Orihime to play god for them. Along with that, how the **** did Yamamoto not notice his entire squad being slaughtered; and you'd think after Ichigo and co. broke in, SS would take more precautions in protecting the Seretei.

So I feel your pain but give Kubo some credit, this is the first good chapter he's had in a while.

C'mon I wasn't the only one thinking it. though I am disappointed at how she turned out as a new head of Hueco Mundo.

Of all the good guys to die, it had to be the one dude who has barely done anything at all through three arcs. Ikkaku or Omaeda going to the wrong place at the wrong time and getting offed would've been more interesting. I never did like them.

And to top it all of, it could've been prevented too. I mean, they have someone to play god for them on speed dial and apparently can regenerate organs in the case of Hinamori. They were also able to keep some alive after being split in half. I mean I think it's a step in the right direction but it doesn't make too much sense.

It's against the rules for Orihime to heal someone from Squad 1.

But..Unohana and Mayuri's organ machine were completely unavailable? The problem with the Lieutenant's death isn't the fact that he died w/o doing anything, though that's a big issue, the problem is that SS pretty much let him die.

Mayuri wouldn't bother and Unohana is above such matters. Besides, if you think this guy is half as tough as Rangiku, Hiyori, or Hinamori then you're fooling yourself. 😛

But by that notion why would Unohana give two shits about Hiyori? Also if Mayuri was able to repair broken bones and replace a heart for Aizen's no#1 fangirl, then why wouldn't he have enough time to do the same for Mr. Nobody?

Then there's the fact that SS security sucks ass. I mean the virtually unbreakable bubble is well and good but, you'd think they'd implement some better forces after a gang of teenagers broke in.

Breaking News: Soul Society does illogical things.

I read complaints and I have answers:

1. They broke into Soul Society through unknown means. They didn't even think it was possible. So it wasn't a security problem: it was a "bypass security" problem through some unknown magic that we will find out later.

2. The crumpets and tea Vice Captain died through bullshit means. He should not have died based on what we have seen of SS's healing powers in the past.

3. This arch does not seem very awesome, as others are pointing out. The new "bad guy" is a douche a la Vegeta. Yes, Vegeta was a douche when we first met him. Stop drooling over douchy characters...douches.

4. Why does everyone think Harribel is the new "Hueco Mundo" emperor/empress Where is this canon knowledge?

Harribel is the only known surviving Vasto Lord and Espada. Its only logical that she's in charge now. Also it might have been mentioned in that extract where Orihime heals her.

True but even then, you'd think that SS would make some adjustments to their sensory systems and security after having to deal with not only teenagers breaking in but having someone already passed the unbreakable bubble, kill off your governing system behind your back. Then there's the fact that for some reason nobody noticed the Shinigami being killed off, not even Yamamoto himself.
