The post was made in contrast to those DEMANDING good guys die.
No good guys have to die ever, really, to still have a good shounen story. Sure, it can happen, but it needs to be done well.

Vegeta was a DOUCHE when we first met his character. It wasn't until much later in his fight with Goku (first fight) that his character started to become good.

Since this is what I do for a living...pretend this is the Cyber Security world. No matter how much you patch up your server, if someone has an 0-Day on your website but never tells you, you will most likely NEVER be able to patch it. That's the nature of not knowing about an exploit. Some hacker dude held onto an 0-Day for some Unix system for almost a decade before releasing...if that tells you how long an exploit can go unnoticed.

I guess but even by that standard, Yamamoto should've noticed his own squad members dying due to a sudden drop in reiatsu, unless of course one of these two options applied: 1). The bad guys were able to masks their killings using the same method that allowed them to infiltrate the Seretei or 2). Yamamoto gives not two shits about his squad.
Well even for fanservice that still makes me mad. Mad that either Hueco Mundo didn't have a top dog or had a terrible top dog. I mean I doubt there was even a new gen of espada that took over.

1. I recently read the manga and I do not quite remember everything from the anime. I was talking about Vegeta being introduced as a douche character and we do not understand it until a bit later with some dialogue between Vegeta and Goku: Vegeta is supposed to be the prince and Goku is a dog and a low class warrior: no way he should be disrespecting his own "king" like that. We also get a better insight into their culture: the weak are not tolerated at high up positions which includes general of the Saiyan army.
