Anyone else think it was kind of silly how Byakuya made that one dude fally through the floor.
The plan was poorly excecuted and the four captains had a dumb look on their face when it didn't work. I also wonder why Byakuya wanted Renji to use his bankai in case his was sealed; did he think it would only work on one person?
he probably landed on the ground off-panel and Byakuya figured he'd land there and mess up the floor beforehand. but if he did that, you'd think he would have suspected more of this 'seal' of the vandenreich. he probably thought that the 'seal' could only seal one bankai at a time, which is why he told Renji to use his if Byakuya's got sealed. but since the bankais apparently got stolen, I'm assuming the vandenreich members will use them against the captains. Kirge did absorb Ayon and added his power and features to his own, so I'd assume the others could do the same with the bankais now.

Has anybody ever heard about the Bleach novel "Spirits are Forever with You"? Apparently it's supposed to be a non-canon novel where Kenpachi is the main character and Szayel is this uber god of a hollow that intentionally depowers himself. Did anyone else know about this?

The elder brother defeats his enemies during the battle, he then brings his defeated enemies to his younger brother and serve them as a “material”
As time passes, the younger brother has treated numerous human as a material for his experiment.One day, these brothers suddenly dies and became a hollow.
The younger brother saw his own rotten corpse when he became a hollow, he was very excited.
As a result, he ate his elder brother and other souls that he was experimenting.
Later, he continues to eat other hollows and finally became humanoid, he took down Vasto Lordes.The name of the younger brother is : Szayel Apporo. During the battles he often limit his own strength in order to capture a live “material” (capture something live and treat as a “material)
Hence, he accepted barragan’s call/invitation and became a researcher.Later he became a member of Espada that was created by Aizen, his number is “0”, which is the strongest among the espada. However, Aporro still not satisfy with it, in order to study the perfect of life, he complete his “Annunciation” power and separate himself into 2, successfully degrade himself into an Adjhucas.*
The other separated body is Grimmjow’s fraccion- arrancar no.15 (illforte). As Aporro degrade into an Adjhucas, his strength declines substantially so he was detach from the group of Espada.However, after completing the secret technique of reincarnation call “Annunciation”, he regains his position back as an Espada and was given a No. “8”*
In the end, he was defeated by Mayuri and falls into hell.
After Szayel falls into hell, he was eaten by arrancar No.100 aka Cien, Cien then possess Aporro's memory and ability, is as if Cien is the 8th Espada's "copy/duplicate". Later Cien collects all its dispersed power and finally able to restore its 0 espada's power back.
In the end, Szayel aka Cien was mugetsu-ed by yammy nurse called Roca aka Arrancar spider woman*

Uh... I only read the part about Szayel, the stuff about Kenpachi was just too ridiculous for even me to follow. Though I guess I can wrap up the spoiler stuff better.
Szayel became an uber Vasto Lorde with a segunda etapa and for some reason lowered himself down to an Adjuchas along with creating Ifforte for an even stranger reason in order to perfect a tech that isn't really touched on.
The middle chunk connects with canon: however at the hell part of the story, an original hollow eats Szayel and tries to regain his former power and status as the #0 espada. It doesn't work and the nurse that Yammy kills after having his arm reattached from the time Ichigo first cut it off is able tu use Mugetsu and kill the wannable Szayel. Or he/she/it was kill by an original nurse with an incredibly stupid name.

Case in point. Kenpachi gets a fight, his opponent depowers himself (aka weak), Kenny kills him. :3
Also, Bleach seems to be doing rather well.
