[B]No, I don't like how Toshiro goes from underperforming in Karaku town to stalemating someone who should be stronger than a person Ichigo fought.
And the Manga specifically confirms that he was holding back in Kurakura, so you'll just have to deal with that. lol

Then there's the fact that Halibel's strongest attacks were renderred useless due to an elemental covinience despite having a larger AoE that Toshiro's attacks bar the ultimate one.
And the manga specifically confirms that both of their powers were nullifying each others. So, you'll just have to deal with that. lol

When did the manga state that? I honestly don't know which time frame he siad it. Besides Toshiro seemed legitimately suprised when Luppi attacked him here and didn't show any signs he blocked the attack successfully. Luppi could've killed him there had he not decided to dick around.

I think I acknowledged that already. I was saying that Halibel's AoE and destructive power appeared to be better than Toshiro's ice attacks however neither could really hurt each other with elemental attacks. Still doesn't explain the weak cero though.

You know, if Ichigo really wanted to get to Soul Society, couldn't he just, like, kill himself?

I always thought that would be a clever thing to do. Kill off Ichigo and have him just turn up in SS ready to be a real shinigami anyway.

Hitsugaya says that he holds back until he's weakened because he's afraid that if he uses his strongest powers he'll kill all his allies around him.

There's nothing that implies that Luppi could have killed him. As your own source shows us Hiitsugaya isn't even injured by Luppi's attack. Do you see any blood on Hitsugaya? Do you even see a scratch? His body is completely unharmed.

And after that, Toshiro effortlessly one-shots Luppi. So trying to use that fight as an indicator of anything is pointless. Trying the lowball the man is a waste of time. By your logic, Kenpachi is shit-tier on the captains list because he was destroyed by an Ichigo that wasn't even strong enough to achieve Bankai yet.

Still can't recall when Toshiro said he was holding back.

Toshiro mention that Luppi should've followed through with his attack and in the source I showed Toshiro had no way to deal with the power of Luppi's attack. Toshiro also mention in the scan you showed that because Luppi didn't follow through with his attack that he was able to prep the ice prison.

The ice prison was prep as mentioned previously, Toshiro had more than enough time to prepare a counter attack to Luppi's power. Nothing Toshiro did in both his fight with Grimmjow's fraccion, granted he didn't need bigger attacks at the time, or Yammy, sicne his shikai did nothing, indicates he could do anything like the ice prison on the fly.

I'm not lowballing him I'm just stating that Toshiro didn't appear to be able to fend off Luppi in a straightfoward battle. We already know that Kenpachi was a powerhouse when he took on two captains at once so Ichigo's draw with Kenpachi wouldn't make him shit-tier int he slightest. so stating that wouldn't deter the claim that Toshiro shouldn't have been up to snuff to fight Halibel. Besides I do also complain that his fight with Nnoitra didn't make sense at first despite being awesome

If Ichigo kills his spirit body, he will just reincarnate and have his memories wiped...nulling your idea.

lol

Am I the only one who found Kenpachi's kendō against Nnoitra a bit overwhelming?

Any other captain: I'll have to use Bankai.

Kenpachi: I'll have to use two hands.

Whelp

Kenpachi>>>>>>>>>> Byakuya. Its canon

Holy shit Byakuya. laughcry

Nothing of value was lost.

Somewhere in England, a tear will run down a girl's cheek.

It's okay though, Ichigo will give a heart-felt monologue to the final villain after whooping his ass in Super Sayin Bankai Hollow Megazord mode, and then in his final moment, the final villain will have a face turn and revive everyone who died.

New chapter's out: http://www.manga-access.com/manga/B/Bleach/chapter/502/1

Huh. I thought they took their shikai. Not sure why I thought that but oh well.

Byakuya is now probably dead. Unless Kubo wants him to bring his own petals to his funeral, he'll no doubt take some Orihime PIS over there and have him healed. I get the feeling the 4th Division won't be of any assistance.

And there was much rejoicing.

Kenpachi is turning into a Gary Stu character.

In the Spirits are Forever With You Kenpachi's ability is revealed to be an inverse seal always making him more powerful than his opponent, even reaching the level of transcendence. Kubo credited Narita saying that he was impressed that he actually managed to figure out Kenpachi's ability.

And now this.

Well rest in peace Byakuya, the most popular Bleach character on the forum.

Kenpachi has been a Gary Stu character since the Rescue Rukia arc. From the moment he fought two captains simultaneously and more than held his own, he's been slowly progressing toward Gary Stu'ism.
