Right, like how you seem to enjoy putting down people of certain sexual orientations (Or even oddly people who like female characters), because you are insecure in your own sexuality and masculinity.
That said I'm not insecure regarding my masculinity or sexuality, you implying otherwise is—ironically—an actual case of projection.

That, or you're so socially inept you don't realise that questioning someone's gender identity could be construed as offensive (In the case of Nephthys).

"Several studies seem to indicate that some bisexuals have a predominantly heterosexual or homosexual orientation, but high erotic responsiveness and more "masculine" characteristics, leading to versatility in sexual behavior."
Either way, since I won't put down money on the article I can't comment on the validity of it.

That would be a displacement, not a projection. That said I'm not insecure regarding my masculinity or sexuality, you implying otherwise is—ironically—an actual case of projection.
You are insecure regarding your sexuality and masculinity, but you deny these attributes of yourself, and then attribute them to another group of people, in this case, bisexuals. Therefore, you are projecting.
Also:
Spoiler:
I don't actually believe you are projecting, I just think you're kind of a douchebag, and I am insulting you for it. I know that such a social "nuance" as this (Albeit one that really shouldn't be subtle) might be hard for you to grasp, but try.And please don't try to claim you are doing the same, since you would clearly be being a liar liar pants on fire.
That's not true. I'm aware that people can take offense at dismissive generalizations. However, my curiosity got the better of me.
"Letting your curiosity get the better of you" was sated when you just asked Nephthys why he likes female characters better (A question making a few assumptions I should add, namely that you appeared to be assuming that because Nephthys likes mostly female characters in Bleach, he prefers them in general). Going on to suggest gender identity issues goes a bit beyond that.
I am all for insulting fellow board members, and do it quite often, but at least have the common courtesy to be honest about it Astner.
I never said that it was.
You made the objective statement that bisexual behavior was submissive in nature, then gave very specific examples of why that is. So... Effectively yes you did.
Do note that, despite by boisterous claims beforehand, I won't actually say with any certainty that what you said can not be true for some bisexual people, it certainly might be. But you made a claim relying on an absolute, namely that all bisexuals are inherently submissive and "beta males" (Well, the male bisexuals anyway).
Also, I love how you are going so far to defend your trolling of me, without admitting that that was, in fact, what you were doing. I can respect that.
Google is convenient isn't it? You can find articles which research is inaccessible to those not willing to drop $36.00 for a digital copy of the article.Either way, since I won't put down money on the article I can't comment on the validity of it.
Oh, I always love the absent-minded chastising and seeming dismissal of information that happens to be found through a search-engine, as if I am not entitled to information I have not paid for. Also note the hypocrisy in his passive-aggressive chiding of me not paying for the digital copy, while he himself notes he won't put down the money on the article.
Drawing vague parallels to to abstracts of articles you've not read wouldn't really qualify as having a basis.
vague/vâg/
Adjective:
1.Of uncertain, indefinite, or unclear character or meaning
ab·stract/abˈstrakt/
Adjective:
Existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence.
What I said: "Bisexuals are manlier (More masculine) than men who are not."
What the article says: "Several studies seem to indicate that some bisexuals have a predominantly heterosexual or homosexual orientation, but high erotic responsiveness and more "masculine" characteristics, leading to versatility in sexual behavior."
What do you find vague about it? The source's terminology leaves little to no room for doubt, masculine has a pretty definite meaning (Albeit what culturally defines masculinity is admittedly not so definite). And hey, I'll even throw you a bone and note how the article makes it clear to point out that only some bisexuals exhibit these traits, which I am actually surprised you yourself did not note.
Now, getting to your use of abstract, that's rather hypocritical of you, isn't it? I am assuming that you are using abstract to refer to masculinity, since what defines it are indeed not concrete facts of the universe, but more cultural conceptions. But you yourself made an absolute claim on the masculinity of bisexuals, so for you to chastise the useage of it by me or an article is something of a double standard, don't you think?
No, you're just upset because you're able to identify with my accusations. That's also why you're making such a big deal out of a two-sentenced reply.
You're truly reaching if you think I am "upset". I won't deny that your hamfisted statement of bisexuality did "offend" me, but only in the same manner that you making mean-spirited (Albeit incredibly accurate. 131) comments about Nephthys, or perhaps how you stroll into threads and insult the appearances of female posters.
My problem is not your beliefs nor my subconscious reactions to them as you are fond of implying, my problem is that you are an insufferable tool, hence why I have chosen to troll you.
Either way kid, I have classes to attend.
Good night, I should be in bed by the time you are back.
