The Official BLEACH series Thread

i wonder if Uno, Ukitake and Shunsui also have bankai's that can't be stolen. I don't recall if they were among the captain/vice captains told not to use bankai. It doesn't seem like anyone knows about the original 3 outside of each other and Yama.

The Bankai stealing explanation is lame. Stupid. Ridiculous. I hate it.

You know, an explanation of something like, "If the user's rieryoku/reiatsu, is double that of the person trying to steal the Bankai, it cannot be taken." That would have been okay. Yamamoto, Ichigo, Aizen...those are all characters that most likely have double the reiatsu of the average captain. It would function as both a parallel to previously established facts as well as being more believable/reasonable as an explanation.

It took me about 4 seconds to think of that explanation. Why could not Kubo think of something similar? He could have just made up something just to make it right. He didn't. He used something that is pretty much wrong.

Didn't he mercilessly rip one of his subordinates in half or something for failing to kill Ichigo? He really doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would be that heartbroken over his henchman dying.

Didn't he kill a modified Arrancar, not a Quincy?

I think his explanation of not being able to steal a bankai is good. If you can't judge their power, you're not able to take it. We know that they've been gathering info on the soul reapers, so it stands to reason that only the captain commander and Ichigo are pretty much immune to their bankai theft.

As for the chapter, while short, it was good. I'm wondering if Bach is dead and if he is truly behind this whole attack? It just seems way to soon for the main big bad to be killed off.

Wtf was up with that ending?

Okay so fawk liking this Bach, he's just pathetic.

Well then this was pretty ****ing stupid. Both the explanation and the fact that Bach turned out to be a whimp. And Kubo is trying too hard with Yamamoto.

I...kinda get the Bankai thing. I mean, it's kinda silly but I suppose logically it makes sense. Course, As Nodt implied that it was possible to steal Renji's Bankai and he got his at the same time as Ichigo(granted, he could have mastered it over the timeskip, not that we'd know it). It also means that ****er Ikkaku will be wrecking shit.

But I just don't like that this Bach, who I like, is apparently a pussy. He didn't even scare Yamamoto. Never in this fight was the hero in danger of losing because he's just so much better than the bad guy. Even Quilge could make Ichigo work for it.

Then how did they steal Yama's lieutenants 8ankai???????? Dude hadn't used it in 200 years

.....

Yeah that is a problem. Unless "Bach" saw it back in the day.

I'm putting it down to Yama 8eing dum8 as a sack of hammers and getting the explan8ion wrong.

True but what really makes me mad is that anyone here could've made a better explanation to not stealing Yama and Ichigo's bankai. Plus this guy turning out to be a whimp makes me dislike the chapter even more. If Yamamoto was just going to pwn shit then what was the point of this whole invasion?

Yamamoto doesn't really have a right to be mad since he escentially let thousands of shinigami die on his watch when he could've solved the whole problem by himself. So yeah, he's pretty stupid and the fact that he wasn't in danger at all just made this chapter kind of suck.

So much butthurt in this thread.
You've been kuboed

He isn't Bach though. I do hope it is a clone of some kind, or another Quincy with the ability to transform into Bach. Maybe it's Bach's second in command, White Beanpole.

He got trolled by Yamamoto/Kubo, but he at least stomped Kenpachi without breaking a sweat.

So does the medallions have to be pre-programmed for the bankai they're absorbing? Or is there some data bank containing all the information on the known bankai?

If they randomly went up against different bankai users it would need to be an all-in-one bank.

Either Bach will have some regeneration power, or during his time in Hueco Mundo, Bach found something in Szayels lab that could clone him.

I am a little bit upset that Bach was basically punked, but If he could have easily wiped the floor with Yamamoto, or even went all out and taken down Yamamoto, his character would be way too uber.

Yamamoto has been in his position for 1000 years, and even though he didn't or couldn't beat Bach back in the day, doesn't mean he couldn't eventually. As for Ichigo, I still think his power fluctuates, I don't know how many times it's been stated, but he has so much reitsu that he can't compress it yet. Plus he's still young, and even though he's been in multiple battles, he's still ruled by emotions, very much like Hitsugya.

Okay, I'm going to speculate that the the one who was actually killed was the Stern ritter leader, who has been given the letter C for change (or something) which he used this to transform into a decoy Yhwach, and the Stern ritter leader is actually Yhwach using the same technique to turn into the Stern ritter leader.

In which case Yamamoto is going to get his ass kicked rather soon.
