I get the feeling we will get to see the shittiness that is Narita's Kenpachi inject its dirty penis into the series. This is how Kenpachi manages to always be just strong enough to beat his opponent: He straight up doesn't die, and grows stronger every time he would.

Read through some old chapters looking for the moment where Yoruichi completely owns Soi-Fon in bantering when Soi-Fon mentions the Shiba family falling from grace.

Was there something in the manga explaining that? If not, is it maybe connected to Isshin?

Maybe Kubo just forgot about that. He happens to do that at times. Having Ganju and Kukaku's awesome rack make a cameo doesn't count.

It's a blank spot. It seems after Kaien, the Shiba might not have had any soul reapers / a couple members of the family blamed the soul reapers for his death, I'd say. But largely extrapolating there.

So Kenpachi was stronger than Ichigo, by far, when they fought, but Kenpachi was restraining his power, subconsciously? That should make some people that complained about Ichigo winning that fight, happier.

Yes. She's saying he was restraining his power, and now every time he loses or comes close to loss, a little comes back.

So now she's going to beat him repeatedly until he's back at full.

And yea, it does explain how Shikai Ichigo beat him- at the time, he was weak compared to how he'd later be.
