I like that they're finally using Kenpachi to his fullest potential, but all this unconsciously holding back when he senses his "enemy" is getting weak is just way too much. Kubo is going to over-hype his training and then when he faces off against Bach, because you know he'll want revenge for getting his ass whipped, he'll struggle to kill him, and most likely either be interrupted in his fight, or he'll be defeated again.
Because only Ichigo can defeat Bach.
Kenpachi subcontiously holding back apparently explains everything that's happened. Also what happened to Unohana's scary face? Instead of looking like psychopath she's actually kind of hot now.
Also like how Kenpachi as a kid is stronger than everybody for some reason. I just don't know what to think of this chapter.

I somewhat agree however, there is another thing to consider: maybe Ichigo has to fight someone else and Bach is Kenpachi's?
Kenpachi has a strong bested interest in defeating the man who killed the only father figure Kenpachi has ever known. Also, other than Unohana, Yamamoto was the only person he ever let teach him anything. Yamamoto was also the only person from which he would take orders. Kenpachi has a very deep respect towards Yamamoto...borders on reverence.
The only other people Kenpachi genuinely respects are Unohana and Ichigo.
So I think it is okay to give Kenpachi Bach. There is someone more powerful that Ichigo has to tackle. Maybe a couple of someone's that Renji and Byakuya have to tackle: why else are they training Renji and Byakuya?

I think her sword might have some sort of acid mist thing going on, which melts shit with every swing (including the user, apparently), but in the last panel not only are their faces and bodies normal, but their clothes are too, so I'm hesitant to say she just healed them both. I'm not sure what her bakai does.
The sexual tension is a bit off-putting though.
