still though, amazing how everyone in the 0 squad is turning out to be both rather... colorful in personality while still being serious people. and I had thought at first that the girls were just there because Kubo felt like doing slight fanservice. I never would have thought they were zanpakuto. and I wonder if the zanpakuto rage will also include Zabimaru and Zangetsu fighting Renji and Ichigo.

I swear to crap Ichigo has done this type of training at least 3 times. And Renji should've had even more time to do this stupid zanpakuto training unless I'm missing something. Heck Ichigo became the most powerful character in the series just by spending around 3 months talking to his zanpakuto: it was more to it than that but you get the most of it.
Actually looking foward to Unohana and Kenpachi duking it out though I would still like Kubo to outright say that Unohana can't do anything cause she's a crazy killer. Would make a whole lot of nothing done by her make more sense.
I'm kinda mixed on this one. We finally get told what makes Unohana so badass and it looks to be quite awesome... and then pretty much told this'll be her last fight (Of course, that assumes there'll actually be a death involved, which, y'know, Bleach), without her actually being used in any combat prior.
And likewise, the zanpaku-to thing has been done, so it's all about Unohana here.
Well I doubt Kubo's killing anyone and I'm still scared he'll find a way to resurect Yamamoto. Afterall he spent two chapters having Byakuya die only for him to end up alive.
Wait...so if Unohana was the first Kenpachi and Kenpachi killed the previous one, then how did they meet? Also I wonder who Unohana got to be her stand in while she decided to play medic between her time and Kenpachi's.

Zaraki Kenpachi is the 11th Kenpachi. Meaning, 9 other people held it since Unohana. That is 9 other captains, killed. She stepped down, obviously, and became division 4's captain when Yamamoto came along with his revisions to Soul Society. It is possible, based on this chapter's dialogue, that she was forced to step down and be division 4's captain or else end up a criminal and be raped in the butthole by Yamamoto. Rule 34?

Yeah...you know if Kubo didn't become so crappy at storytelling and was consistent with power-levels, I'd actually be inclined to remember small details like that.
Though I do see it as a bit much for Unohana's nice personal to be one elaborate act instaed of genuine kindness that came from her supressing her psycho killing rampage.
