But is SS really going to let Unohana die because of the whole "There can be only one" thing that the Kenpachi's have?
Instead of sticking around to fight with Zaraki and the rest of SS, this goofy ass broad let herself be killed because of some stupid made up rule.
I hope she and Yama both go straight to hell for being morons.
Yamamoto was never a Kenpachi it seems. Oh and why doesn't Unohana just heal herself? I mean sure she was stabbed in the throat but that's a flesh wound compared to what other characters have suffered.
I wonder now that Ichigo has to go home if he's finally ask someone what the **** is going on: and hopefully somebody with give Ichigo and the audience a straight answer.

And that rule is really stupid in the first place. Soul Society was doing fine with two Kenpachi's before.

And hell if Kenpachi means the strongest and there can be only one then Yamamoto was pretty definitively the only true Kenpachi. Does he not count?

Zaraki wasn't really a Kenpachi by anything other than name since the first hadn't been defeated. No, because the title of Kenpachi can only be attained through the defeat of the previous Kenpachi.
Apparently they did count Kenpachis 2 through 10 too.
I guess they didn't count Unohana while she wasn't fighting, but when she fights again the 'there can be only one' rule comes back into effect.
Man in hindsight I really do hate the fact that Kenpachi got his swords name. Look back at his fight with Ichigo. Zangetsu notes that Kenpachi has been deaf to his sword and relying only on his own power. So he loses(for purposes of the story his battle is considered a loss even though it's more of a draw) and humbles himself, asking his sword what it's name is.
Wouldn't the battle have been a good time for Kenpachi to ask his sword what it's name is? Unohana was a clearly more powerful opponent. He was beaten handily. This could have been the time for Kenpachi to finally accept that his own power isn't enough and turn to his sword.
But no, Kenpachi doesn't grow. Unohana hands him victory and I guess the sword was just waiting for Kenpachi to quit holding back. That's stupid.

But Kenpachi did beat Unohana, didn't he? When he was a kid?
Sorta but not exactly. He dealt her a major wound, but then grew afraid he would never be able to feel that joy again and limited himself, then she cut him down.
He didn't get the name until he cut down the 10th Kenpachi.

Well, in Ichigo's case, he vastly outpowered Ichigo. He was not challenged at all. He enjoyed the whole fight and it wasn't until the end that Ichigo gained insight into his sword that he was able to win. It took his loss to Ichigo to realize this loss. That also explains his "power up" after his fight with Ichigo: he stopped holding back so much, subconsciously. Then he was able to stand on par with Dick Tongue.

Yes, I know that. My problem is Kenpachi never really grows a connection with his sword but is somehow still given the name because...well I don't know. At least Ichigo had to grow some to get Zangetsu's name, both intellectually and spiritually.
On a more serious note, you're getting stuck on shit that nobody cares about.
