This chapter started out as the most nonsensical thing ever.

And then it became awesome when it was

revealed that Zangetsu was really Yhwach.

Pretty much. The chapter started out as Kubo doing his stupid 'Lol, so quirky!' gag but then the end actually got interesting.

Shit got real. And this is a reveal that I did not see coming...but in hindsight, we all should have seen it. The resemblance is definitely there.

Zangetsu always reminded me of Yhwach and now Ichigo is confirmed to be part Quincy. So was this design choice subtly made or Kubo recycling a design?

can't believe Bleach going the route to make new stories by destroying the credible characters/events..

personally I thought Bach and Zangetsu have looked quite similar ever since Bach first appeared. It's just the fact that Zangetsu is essentially Bach when he was like a 1000 years younger that took me and everyone else by surprise. kinda also brings up the question if the personality Zangetsu has is his own or if Bach himself had a similar/exact same personality 1000 years ago.

Cool revelation and they did look similar to me.

But... Hichigo and Zangetsu *merged* at one point...

I was expecting him to say Isshin though. I've always thought that Zangetsu was supposed to look like him and be all symbolic and shit.

Oh shit.

Zangetsu can't be Yhwach. A representation of Yhwach makes more sense.

Weird. Years of looking at Zangetsu, and it was only the page before the reveal that dots and his look connected in my head from the doubts they rose.

Coulda done without the.. everything up to that point but hey, good reveal.

So...if Zangetsu is a representation of Bach then is Tensa Zangetsu just an even younger representation of that: "Yhawach the Kid"?

If I'm getting everything right this means Ichigo's bankai is actually a Quincy power and his real bankai has yet to be seen?
