eh, same here, though it'd be nice if it wasn't always up to him to figure out a way to counter things.
still, pretty boss chapter, really. the sternritter would have been overpowered if they could use bankai in combination with their volstung (or however it's spelled) form. just hope it's not another slaughterfest with the soul reapers in the receiving end.

Right, Kubo completely ignored the Vizards which was such an important element in the Arrancar arc. Furthermore since haxxed Shinji gets a partner, I think it'll continue to be ignored.
There are 13 Captains.
2 are Vizards.
These same two were stupid enough not to use their Bankai against Aizen/Stark.
I think Kubo is being perfectly consistent with the intelligence of his characters. 👆
Hell we know he didn't forget that they had Hollow Powers since we see Rose with his mask on during the fighting.
I have a question. If taking a captain's bankai restricts the Quincy's strongest tech and they seem to not be worried even if the captains have bankai...then what was the point of taking the captain's bankai in the first place. Sure, it appears that the Quincies not having their trump card is less inconvenient then taking away the captain's power but it seems pretty pointless to me.
Also why is it that Soi-fon wasn't hollowfied when she used her bankai? Oh and does this last panel mean that Ichigo is going to have to save the day...again 😐 because it would be pretty lame if he did. However an interesting thing was Shinji compensating for explaining how his powers worked with his shikai upgrade.
Only 11 actually did any fighting since Unohana and Mayuri did other things. And there's 3 Vizards that are captains. None of the three had substantial screentime while every other captain did and half of those lost their bankai.
Kubo didn't "use" their intelligence, they just weren't shown to do anything, either smart or stupid, at all. Which is convenient since their bankais would've been able to do considerable damage. But for the sake of a more dire plot, the Vizards were ignored during this battle.

Except when they weren't ignored. Rose about as much attention as say Soi-fon.
Again these guys didn't even use their Bankai on Aizen and had no reason to assume their Bankai would fair any better. None of them have been showed to be the trigger happy Bankai users Hitsugaya or Kommamura are for examples.
The sole exception is maybe Kensei(the Vizard I forgot since he is...well boring) but this is the guy whose master plan to train his lieutenant to fight the people who can steal Bankai...is to get him to awaken his Bankai.
