It's not strategy though. Its ridiculous "god-prep" that allows Mayuri to have the perfect counter to anything his opponent has because "**** you". I'm still not sure if this is worse than fake organs.

How exactly is it not strategy to prepare for your opponents?

This is why Mayuri and Urahara have always been favorites of mine.

It would be like coming to a fist fight and saying "lul I invented an antimatter bomb ten minutes ago" and then using it. It's Silver Age comic book writing level prep. It doesn't require any real thought to write the fight because Mayuri just pulls shit out of nowhere to counter whatever his opponent does.

He's creating new powers (Or "technology"😉 on the fly so that he can win, and win extremely easily at that. That said, this could be the result of the research acquired from Las Noches, but I don't recall any of Szayel's technology doing what Mayuri's has done, even on a smaller scale.

What I find most strange is that Mayuri is the one used to administer these curbstomps. Some people like to see the occasional "Good guy curbstomps bad guy" fight but that's not really happening. Mayuri is arguably just as bad or even worse than Giselle. The series sort of acknowledged that Mayuri's a monster when he had his tiff with Yamamoto but I'll never forget when Uryu met him once again and called him that "shady scientist". He's a poorly-written character.

It would be strategy if Mayuri didn't simple go "I know everything about you even though I've never encountered you before ever" and actually formed a plan on the fly with the resources available to him on the field. So yeah...Mayuri somehow becoming virtually omniscient in regards to whatever opponent he's fighting isn't something that I would see a strategic.

The fake organs were terrible and you should feel terrible for liking it.

but it's not "out of nowhere" or "on the fly". They have been preparing for this battle with the Sternritter since the initial attack on Seireitei.

Mayuri is head of RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT. lol.

No, he's the head of ass magic and can pull anything out of it that he needs to win.

Not that Mayuri's prep-fu really bothers me that much, to be honest. I'm more bothered by the fight being boring and Mayuri himself being a frankly terribly-written character.

For all his "prep god" status, Mayuri has never beaten any major character... you guys are acting like Mayuri is walking through the likes of Aizen and Ywach.

He's a captain and you guys are bitching about him gaining the upper hand of the main villain's subordinates.

Mayuri doesn't win his post-SS fights (All two of them) through manfighting nor does he win it through clever use of abilities. He wins them through casual use of technology that was never hinted at before, basically establishing that Mayuri can do anything when the going gets tough as long as he gets "prep".

Most unforgivable though isn't that this is happening. It's that we've already seen it happen before. There's nothing new, except of course said new technology he's pulled from the ether. This is exactly how the fight with Szayel went.

He was seen working on something in secret right after the Sternritter's first invasion.

Mayuri never fought Aizen or Yhwach. Saying he didn't curbstomp them isn't really an argument. They never beat him so does that make them look bad?

Mayuri has fought 3 guys. The first was never treated to special drugs(outside the Zanpakuto) and actually beat Mayuri. The second never stood a chance since apparently Mayuri places cameras in Uryu for some reason. And placing drugs inside of Nemu in case someone tries to...well I don't know eat her I guess.

Now this fight could be fun. The revival of the Arrancar was pointless but whatever. I liked how he programed his sword to auto-block(needs more established limits though) and goading Hitsu into hitting him so he could place a bomb on him works. But none of that matters because Hitsu has already been drugged by something offscreen(or maybe it was in Charlotte's blood). And drugging is boring because what is Hitsu gonna do? He's lost. He can't beat being drugged from what we know of him. Unless Bambi does something.

Now it would be nice for Hitsugaya to do something. Will he? Probably not.

Mayuri's magical wonder drug (I'm okay with the sword thing) is unlike anything else in the series prior that I can recall. It's a magical new ability he pulled from the ether so he could win the fight with contempuous ease.

Would he beat Yhwach? Probably not. But go on. Run away from the objective fact that one of your favorite characters is bad. You always run away. 👆

i already addressed your criticism by pointing out that he's the head of research and development who consistently does experiments on any enemy he comes across, and by pointing out that his new technology was foreshadowed before the fight... now you're admitting that it was foreshadowed, but you don't like the way it was done. You were wrong, m'kay.

oh, and i don't care if you don't like him. Your opinion isn't gonna change my own.
