Which of the following characters can take over OUR world?

newjak, she won't be discovered. hpow excatley will she? really, I would like to hear this. she can detroy countries, and when the world is at it's lowest, she could make herself known and tell them what she could do to build the economy, help agriculture, stuff like that.

Carnage - Hell no

Iron Man (regular armor) - With prep, maybe

Colossus - Nope

Iceman - Probobly 😛

Green Lantern (Hal) - Nations fall before Hal and his bear punching power

Superman - Easily ✅

Storm - Maybe 😬

Magneto - Yep

Invisible Woman - Probobly

Mystique - Maybe if she uses Political Corruption 😄

Any of these three could launch an all out assault and likely win.

With some effort.
Green Lantern - Use of powers obvious, but powerful enough to take over the world.
Storm - Use of powers covert, powerful enough to take over the world.

Mystique - Use of powers covert, devious enough to take over the world.

Would not be able to take over the world.
All three's use of power is obvious and none have sufficient power to take over the world.

There is nothing we have at present to detect her easily. Biometrics are useless on her. She has been impersonating people for a century and more, she is manipulative enough to not draw attention or suspicion. She gains an immense fortune by defrauding banks while impersonating billionaires. She uses the countries own armies against them by impersonating their leaders.

Invisible Woman
She is invisible. Her force shields have withstood incredible amounts of damage (and apparently have never fallen?). Also Ultimate Invisible Woman might have a better chance as she seems just as powerful and is a bona fide genius too. IW walks into the G8 leader's summit unnoticed. All the leaders suddenly suffer cerebrovascular accidents.

Storm
Her mood affects the weather around her sub/unconsciously, it would not strain her to create powerful and destructive phenomena. Once she sows the seeds of a massive meteorological phenomenon it will run its course. The phenomena may appear suddenly and be anomalous to data, but the pattern of manipulation she uses to create her phenomena would conform to what normally happens when a hurricane or rain or whatever is produced. They are more likely to question why their data didn't conform to what happened than vice versa. She can devastate governments and economies without bringing attention to herself because there are no tangible links between her and what she creates, besides who would suspect a human of controlling the weather. When the world is weakened and anarchous she can make her move. [/B]

Carnage - The army can take care of him.

Iron Man (regular armor) - He could do a lot of damage but would eventually be shot down

Colossus - Might have to be nuked but would be taken down

Iceman - Omega Level Iceman wins easily

Green Lantern (Hal) - Wins easily

Superman - Wins easily

Storm - Wins if she plays it smart

Magneto - Wins without too much trouble

Invisible Woman - Might take a while, but she could do it

Hal, Kal-el, Erik, Bobby, Ororo, Sue, and Mystique could all do it.

Iron Man might be capable given the right amount of prep time. However, what does 'regular armor' mean? Because, technically his current 'regular' armor IS extremis armor. He can't help it. And Extremis Iron Man would utterly RAPE our techno-industrialized society.

The only ones on the list, assuming that this is Extremis Iron Man, that COULDN'T take over the world are Carnage and Colossus.

But, to be quite honest, I'm not sure how we would stop Colossus. I mean, we aren't exactly going to go nuking populated areas, and I don't see too much less than a nuke taking down Piotr.

Storm - don't think so... she is powerful, but has a very low durability. That, and I hardly see the might of the world's military succumbing to a hurricane or tornado.

Magneto - yes

Invisible Woman - no

Mystique - no

A lot of these people could cause tonnes of damage in the real world, and would likely rack up high kill counts individually, but, united, the world military power is incredible.

Initially people like iceman, storm or invisible woman would be really impressive, but they lack the capacity to fight a multi frontal war by themselves. They could try hit and run, but its not like we wouldn't be adapting to them.

If Storm was a global military threat, we would learn how to fight in the middle of a hurricane with specialized vehicles and what have you that resist or counteract her powers. In a long term war, we have the advantage against any of these people. Without a way disable the world's military outright, there should be little chance...
