Oh! that makes sense. I thought it was another one of those web shortcuts.

OHHH...noooooo.....doomed 😆

Hey, but wait....I'd get another chance according to some denominations...OK...I'm better now...

Alarmism...

How do we know it didn't already happen? That would explain why most Christians, now, are so angry, they got left behind. 😆

I heard it was in 1844...Or was that the invisible rapture...

Yeah.Revelations is written in past tense. We are all officialy F@#ked

says who i mean why would we all be so compelled to live in gods veiw if we are already left behind?

Control by the church is what would keep you waiting for a return that is a past event...What I mean is that Jesus was talking about "The Terrible Day of the Lord, let it not be on the Sabbath...etc..."..That happened in 70 AD...the fall of Jerusalem taken by the Romans.

Anyone left behind who had knowledge of the rapture theory but previously did not believe in christ would essentially be forced, by the proof of their own experiences, to believe.

i see so what your saying is that the rapture did indeed happen and to get into heaven our only way is to live life the good old fashioned way?

Not quite. I gave an explanation/scenario as unlikely as rapture itself.

So the rapture itself would lead to everyone being raptured. Interesting... 🙂

The necessity of believing in christ would be proven, by the events of the rapture, to anyone left behind. According to the Pre-Tribulationists, the persecutions and tribulations will begin after the rapture.

I know very little about the rapture, the form of Christianity that I was long ago, did not believe in it. So, I will ask you a stupid question. Isn't the rapture the drop dead date, so to speak, for being saved?

Christian believers will be either removed from or protected from the doomsday judgement when the wrath of god falls and the wicked are carried off at the end of the age.
Btw, I' m an agnostic.

I know very little about the rapture,
rapture it is the hip hop equivalence to a musical overture

If you're pre trib...you believe all Christians will be taken before the Tribulation of evil comes.....If you are mid-trib, then you will be taken in the middle of the Tribulation..3 1/2 years after the signing of a peace treaty between the middle east...If you are post trib, then you believe that you will stay for the whole tribulation and there is no secret rapture, but only a second coming..but god will or might protect Christians from it..depending on what you believe...there are 3 different views on the rapture...though some have some dates as 1844..when that didn't happen, then it was said by some that it was some kind of invisible rapture....

the point is that you don't want to be here when the anitchrist comes into power after the peace treaty...cause that's when the real persecutions will happen...the thing most people don't know, is that scripture was talking about a "New Covenant" caused by Christs death...there is no raptures and the tribulation was the fall of Jerulsem in 70 ad.

This has really been played up by the churches big time, movies, books and the Mark of the Beast kind of thing...People have been waiting for 2000 years now.

Plus there are different views on what the "Mark of the Beast" is also.
