what would you do if we were suddenly left behind?

Further, every eye shall see Him when He returns.

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Notice it does not say, Behold, he cometh in secret. No one will have a clue that He came. Yea truly only the worthy Christians will be taken up. Yea and let all the naughty unworthy Christians stay behind to suffer. Yea, the world will tremble as the holy Christians are taken and the bad ones are left. No one will have a clue Jesus was here. Even so, Amen.

Who got the idea that this was going to be a quiet event? A liar and deceiver. That's who. Jesus warned us such people would come.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

The servants ask their master, You sown good seeds? So where did these tares come from?

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

He tells them that an enemy has done it. The servants ask, Shall we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

He says, No, unless while you gather them up you take the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Notice he says let BOTH grow together until the harvest. He then talks about the reapers (angels) gathering the tares and burning them and gathering the wheat into his barn.

Ok that is all fine and dandy, but WHEN is the harvest?

Matthew 13:36Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Notice how Jesus tells us that the harvest is the end of the world. The following He tells what will happen at the end of the world, at the time of harvest:

40As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

In other words the unrepentant sinners will fry.

43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The righteous (born again Christians) will shine as the sun in the Kingdom of God.

This will happen at the END of the world, at the Harvest, at the LAST trump.

Same thing below only with the imagery of fish.

Matthew 13:47Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Revelation 14:1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

3And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

5And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Christians are warned NOT to receive the mark of the beast otherwise God's wrath will be poured on them and they will suffer torment with fire and brimstone.

12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Why would Christians be told to be patient and that they are blessed who die in Jesus if they won't even be here? Yet of course they are being told because we WILL be here.

14And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

20And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Notice in verses 14 on that the Lord Christ THEN harvests the Earth. Notice WHEN that happens? It happens AFTER the mark of the beast appears and NOT before. The mark of the beast is coming FIRST and we WILL be here. Why warn us about it if we wouldn't be here? (Well unless we die beforehand the mark appears.) Then AFTER that THEN will the Lord harvest the earth.

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Notice that Jesus says immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days. Jesus does NOT say before the tribulation of those days. Jesus does NOT say during the tribulation of those days. Jesus says, AFTER the tribulations of those days.

30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

What will happen AFTER the tribulation of those days? (Those days being the days of the Great Tribulation.)

THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven.

THEN shall ALL the tribes of the earth mourn. (Remember that Revelation 1:7 speaks of all the nations/tribes mourning.

THEN they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

THEN, AFTER the tribulation of those days and NOT before.

Unlike the liars and deceivers who teach that Jesus is coming BEFORE the Great Tribulation which Jesus never taught, and the Bible does NOT teach.)

31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Also at that time THEN shall Jesus send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet. (Remember I Corinthians 15 and I Thessalonians 4.) THEN will Christians (his elect) be gathered. THEN and NOT before.

Now some might say, What about the two women? One was left behind and the other was taken. What about that?

Let us remember the sequence of events that Jesus has been talking about in Matthew 24. He starts off with the destruction of the temple which occured in 70 AD. Then tribulation, great tribulation, Jesus comes back to get Christians, then a few verses later...
