He didn't come to save the "good guys"...He came to save the "bad guys" because the "good guys" don't need saving.

That's irresponsible. It's easy to blame people like him for your lack of faith, but by doing so you only relieve yourself of the intelligence needed to have reached such a conclusion on your own. and you're right Marchello isn't really the reason I don't believe in a god but he does make me question the usefulness of such belief
in reality my personal faith is very close to what you describe (ineffability of any divine influence) its just that Marchello does a very good job of making me angry
