Captain Flamingo

Is he seriously Canadian <.<...

unless you mean wolverine, in which case i dont know.
im just assuming since he's such a badass.

Captain Flamingo as you call him almost reminds me of Poof from The Fairly Odd Parents. This is what he will be like at age 4!

Dude, chill out. I'm not gonna spend all my time arguing over something. I already said I was done arguing about it, why did you bring it back up?

Eminem is famous for his ability to say things that normal people would never think of. He can make words rhyme that don't rhyme, he can rap fast, slow, on beat, off beat, and it's always excelent.

You obviously know NOTHING about hip hop if you think you can write better than Eminem. If it's so easy, why aren't you the highest and fastest selling MC of all time? Eminem puts a lot of effort into his lyrics, listen to some of them. I never said they were amazing because he cusses a lot and raps to a beat that people like to sing a long to (that's why people listen to Lil Wayne, Eminem is actually talented), and just because he does cuss a lot doesn't mean his lyrics aren't good, listen to the song Infinite if you want to see just how talented he is. There's no way you can listen to that song and still think "Yeah, I can write better than this guy". Infinite is that song I posted above in that Youtube video.

What doesn't make sense to me, is that you criticize Eminem for saying crude things, then you make a comment about spreading the Queen of England's buttcheeks. Kind of hypocritical if you ask me. But what am I thinking, it's okay if you talk like that, right? Eminem should be punished for it though.

Every true hip hop fan knows Eminem is incredible. MTV named him as #9 on the Greatest MC's of All Time, and he is also somewhere on the list of the Greatest Artists of All Time in Rollingstone or something.

And no, I would easily admit if you could write better lyrics than Eminem. I just am about 99.9% sure that you couldn't.

It's not just Eminem's clever lyrics that make him a great MC. It's his ability to actually rap them the way he does, his flow is probably the best in hip hop. Saying Eminem is not clever and has no talent is just stupid, because no other MC has done what he has done.

Please dude, be a little more mature and just leave this topic alone. I have better things to do than to argue about this with you.

Okay, that's your opinion. Mine is different. And you're not going to change my opinion about Eminem by just telling me who's better. I'm just trying to show you guys he has talent.

He says things like

"I get imaginative with a mouth full of adjectives
A brain full of adverbs, and a box full of laxatives
Shitting on rappers"

He shows us that he is very well-versed in the English language and incorporates that into his songs. A box full of laxatives has a clever double meaning because laxatives are used to help quicken the bowel movement during constipation, and "shitting on rappers" means dominating rappers in battle.

"My songs can make you cry, take you by surprise
At the same time, can make you dry your eyes
With the same rhyme; see, what you're seeing is a genius at work"

-It means his songs can make you laugh and cry at the same time.

"Now who's the king of these rude, ludicrous, lucrative lyrics?
Who could inherit the title, put the youth in hysterics?"

-Eminem is casting himself as the heir to Elvis (“the king”), who decades earlier delighted teenagers and infuriated parents with his scandalous hip gyrations.

"We as a people decide if Shady's as bad as they say he is
Or is he the latter? a gateway to escape
Media scapegoat; who they can be mad at today?"

Eminem channels the “We the People” philosophy of direct democracy because representative democracy wasn’t working out for him:

“When you hear the words about raping your mother or killing your mother, I think that the industry should be embarrassed that that’s award-winning entertainment” — Congresswoman Barbara Cubin, (R-Wy.)

Rep. Cubin is refering to the lyrics from “Kill You”:

Shut up ****, you’re causing too much chaos
Just bend over and take it like a ****, OK Ma?
‘Oh, now he’s raping his own mother, abusing a whore,
snorting coke, and we gave him the Rolling Stone cover?

The funny part is — in these lyrics — Eminem is satirizing his critics!!!! (I guess Barbara missed the joke..)

"Go to war with the Mormons, take a bath with the Catholics
In holy water - no wonder they try to hold me under longer"

-He's saying that he is seen as such a devilish influence that even Catholics would attempt to drown him when they were baptizing him.

"Don't let me lose you, I'm not trying to confuse you
When I let loose with this Uzi and just shoot through your Isuzu"

An excellent example of Eminem using multi-syllabic rhymes (confuse you, Isuzu), but also weaving the rhyme sound throughout the whole line (let loose, lose you, shoot through), Eminem is arguably the best at doing this.

"It's like a fight to the top just to see who died for the spot"

He's saying you have to be killed to truly be considered one of the greatest of all time. For example, you'll typically find Tupac and Biggie Smalls on most peoples list as the top 2 rappers ever. They became legends after their death. This line is one of my favorites.

"Shady Records was eighty seconds away from the towers
Them cowards ****ed with the wrong building, they meant to hit ours"

-He's saying that his record company was located near the Twin Towers, and they were aiming for him on 9/11 and hit the wrong building.

"Ayo, my pen and paper cause a chain reaction
To get your brain relaxing, the zany acting maniac in action"

He's saying his rhymes hypnotize you. This is what I was talking about when I said he can make rhymes out of words that don't rhyme ("Zany Acting" and "Maniac In" when said the way he does in the song sound like they rhyme)

"I travel through your mind into your spine like siren drills

When his rhymes hit your brain, they send a chill down your spine.

My coiled hands around this microphone are lethal
One thought in my cerebral is deeper then a Jeep full of people

He's saying his lyrics are as deep as a Jeep full of people. "Deep" in the sense of a car full of people, means crowded.

"I greet the gents and ladies, I spoil loyal fans
I foil plans and leave fluids leaking like oil pans"

He doesn’t discriminate regardless of gender. If you’re a fan he will give you exactly what you want. At the same time he puts other peoples' careers on the rocks when he shoots them (leaves them “leaking”)

I could explain a lot more of his lyrics to you, but I'll stop. He has the best lyrics in hip hop IMO.

Now let's just stop talking about this.

Well I can't really take anything you say regarding hip hop seriously if you're going to tell me Eminem sucks.

Tell me some of your favorite MC's best lyrics if you want to prove that to me.

Otherwise I'm done talking about it.

Peace 🙂

You do realize I'm just busting your balls, right? I just don't care for his music, that's all. I just think those other guys are better lyricists, that's all.

Yeah, I've pretty much known that all along.

I have this thing about me where even if I know someone is messing with me, I will act like I don't. Yes I have issues. It's true.

Beastie Boys.

I have a fear of abandonment.

I can't stand the opening music of Law & Order.

The thing that makes me happiest right now is sleeping with my back pressed against someone else's.

but the opening music of law and order kicks ass.
man i love law and order.

Im not wearing pants.

But why can't you listen? I don't want to argue this with you. Yes I'm getting mad, you don't know when to shut up. You obviously are mad about something or bothered by something, otherwise you would have left he topic alone like I asked.

Eminem's rhymes are not weak. Let me explain Infinite to you.

The reason why Infinite is such a great song is because of the how deep it is.

Here's what some of the lyrics mean.

"My rhyming skills got you climbin hills"- Meaning he makes rappers head for the hills to get away from him

"I'm sliming grills of roaches, with spray that disinfects 'em;
Twisting necks of rappers 'til their spinal column disconnects"- He compares killing roaches with bug spray to killing rappers by snapping their necks. In both cases- killing pests with ease.

"Examination of more cartoons than animation" - Wack rappers (whose pop rap ends up playing as "car tunes" are like fake "cartoons"

"My lamination of narration hits a snare and bass on a track
****ed up rapper interrogation" - His verses stick to the beat as if they were laminated on

"I got some meat to mince, fruit to stomp and then two feet to rinse"
Eminem will “mince meat” (creative allusion to “beef”) with other rappers and stomp “fruits” (homosexuals)

"Man, I got evidence, I'm never dense
And I've been clever ever since
My residence was hesitant to do some shit that represents the M-O"
Eminem has been marked with the signs of genius since his childhood

“MO” stands for both modus operandi and Missouri, the state where Eminem was born

He has been a genius since the day he stepped foot in a place where the residents represented the modus operandi of Missouri (the “MO of MO”, if you will).. which is precisely what Missourans do..

"My skill in intergalactical"- The galaxy is not enough for 100% of Eminem's skills

"I never packed a tool or acted cool, it wasn't practical
I'd rather let a tactical, tact full track tickle your fancy"- He never carried a gun or acted tough because he wasn't. He'd rather made songs that people like.

"MC's are feeble, I came to cause some pandemonium
Battle a band of phony MC's and stand the lonely one" He can battle a whole group and win on his own.

I guess I'll debate this with you later, since you can't seem to shut up. I have to go now. I've got school.

😆 😆 😆

crylaugh crylaugh crylaugh

I really did laugh that hard. I was talking to RJ when I stumbled upon this post and I lol'd really hard and a long time. Almost puked up the fish planks from Long John Silvers that I had just eaten.

I took the time to read all of your rhyme explanations. Guess what? All of that was so very simple and easy to understand: none of it needed any explanation. 😆

Anyway, you got too focused on me not liking Eminem.

I said this of you and you did not even acknowledge it:

so... if i locked you in a cage... and inside that cage was a pool full of jello... and i threw another chick in there... and turned on the music....

i could make a lot of money?

would you be okay with that?
i'd split the winnings 20-80.
you could have the 80, since you'd be doing all the real work anyway.

im not greedy.
