He probably wouldn't do that because if he did he wouldn't have become Batman ever. He would probably realize that without his help, Gotham would be a festering ground for criminals and low-lives. So I guess my point is, he realizes that he can't have his cake and eat it too. 😉

Hmm. I was under the impression that Bat's wasn't creating trans-dimensional transportation devices so....I think he probably might possibly be able to take down Namor in a week, but with all that tech at his hands why doesn't he just teleport Joker to Hell and be done with him?

Yeah. I could see him ultimately deciding that he's better off as Batman than just Bruce so that he can fight crime. Batman is psychotically ultruistic like that.

Come on man, its just a comicbook.

He could get one even if he couldn't make one.

The reason he doesn't is because DC wants to make money.

Why don't characters with the ability to resurect go around ressing all the heros that have died!?

The JLA watchtower has the medical equipment and new God Tech that they can heal virtually any wound near instantly. Batman has nearly every bone in his body shattered by Superman in Sacrifice. We see them hitting him with purple laser and he's up an issue later.
Why haven't they used that on Barbara Gordon, who got her spike blown out by Joker?

Why doesn't time travelers go correcting all the wrongs in history!?
It's bad to mess with time in the comic universes, it's been stated tons of times. Most of the time travelers in DC have codes of non interference.

From what I've seen of Batman, though he claims to be a dirty fighter, he's no Frank Castle.

"They are all "geniuses" and they all have their specialities."

Wasting your breath...I've said the same thing so many times it's ridiculous. Batman's a deductive genius. Quite possibly the best detective any comic universe has ever had. The same way Magneto's a genetic genius, Tony Stark's a mechanical genius, etc. Doom and Reed are GENIUSES.

Batman and GL were the only DC books I read for years. But when DC started letting him consistantly do things that were skyfather level, I gave up

Skyfather level? Like what?

Not relevant to the fight, but in a Superman/Batman comic, Batman and Superman are thrown back in time, and Batman murders the mugger before he can kill his parents. Every thing gets screwed up as a result.

OK... I was being a bit overzelious with the Reed being 2x as smart as Bruce... But I do think that the difference between them is quite large. Do you think that in 100yrs of trying Bruce could create a device to bring a group of people up to heaven and back...? I don't.

There are a handfull of characters in Marvel that would make Bats seem like a simpleton.

You realize that Bats created the boom tube which can go through different dimensions and can time travel, right?

Reed's done the same thing in his sleep. Same as Dr. Doom. Next.

^ Why are you sayin' next? This isn't a thread about whose smarter between Batman and Mr. Fantastic. It's about if Batman could beat Namor with a week of prep, I think yes. And in no way shape or form am I saying that Batman is smarter than Reed, I've been saying all along that he's close enough to Reed's intellect to be able to take down Namor with a week of prep. I think he would do it quite easily actually.

Well, I'm just gonna say this. Batman is closer to Tony Stark in intellect than he is to Reed Richards. He really hasn't done anything to show up what Stark, Reed, or Von Doom have done. Now, as for taking down Namor with a week's prep, I don't think he could do it. Prep is sincerely overrated when it comes to Batman. Batman knows the DC universe in and out, but he knows absolutely nothing about people in Marvel. People who are above Batman have tussled with Namor and lost. There isn't much he can do, except maybe the old silver-age bat kick.

^ C'mon seriously, I could take down Namor with all the goodies that's in the Batcave for cryin' out loud let alone Batman. He could get really cheap and use the Batwing, Batmobile, etc. Besides, if something went wrong, he could always use the motherbox... 😖hifty:

Not really gonna help when you've already been drowned before you can think. Also, Iron Man has a tough time beating Namor with his newest armor. Also, that's kind of a lame excuse. He can win because it's the Batcave and it's Batman? Batman may be cool, but he is hugely overrated. He has a hard time taking Slade with what he's got. If people like Dr. Doom and Reed Richards, with everything that they've got, can't take Namor, then Batman has little to no hope.

I was under the impression that boom tube tech was from the New Gods. When exactly did Batman invent that or am I missing something?
