Same here. I just don't have any pics I want to make a sig with.. and I have the damndest time using clone stamping on the lightsabers, since I don't have the steadiest mousehand in the world.
And I still have to take calls tomorrow, so you get to keep tally until at least 7 PM eastern. Nyah! It's either that or one of us backtracks and rechecks votes right before round three, which isn't a bad idea anyways.
That sounds like it would take forever.
What I do is I make an additional layer to my background, I pick a point for the clone stamp and then make the image. The hard part isn't exactly cleaning up the edges (since I can zoom in and the background eraser isn't terribly hard to work with)... it's doing the length and glow of a lightsaber and being able to make it look even all around.

Actually I do make a second layer and in some cases a third or fourth. Then I use clone stamp to get the main areas then zoom in a do it pixle per pixle although even that is not perfect. Now for lightsabers...that is hard although I just generaly fade them in slightly in their own seperate layer using a low opacity.
I do the same thing. I'm debating on using this technique to just make a lightsaber blade after clone stamping; the difference being it won't be the original blade, it'll be one made with a photoshop technique, like in this link.
