You are talking about royalty, not Empire. Would any leader join the workers? Not even communist leaders did that! What is your point?
You had asked what were our thoughts, in regards to your first post. So then I've stated it as just that. My thoughts. But to be clear, since you did say "Empire" and not royals...as far as I'm concerned the two are/were the same...who cares for an empire of any sort.
To each country let them decide what is best for them, without the meddling of some foreign country including this great Nation of mine called the U.S of A. whether it be of good will or empirical in nature.
You pine for a time that no longer exists and to be honest, I can see nothing good can come of it. It is a fact, no matter the intention that ruled will grumble and if authoritative will eventually arise and take action. History is rife with the same stories over and over again. An empire that has fallen either through decay, degredation or the people having had enough. So why bother and why wish for it.

The reason why I appreciate the Britidh imperial history is because it civilised savage lands, encouraged economic growth in poverty struck nations. And spread the glory of Britannia to the far flung corners of the world- America, India, Ne
